Which group is more ... focused: Bush-haters, or McCain-haters? :)

Posted on 03/22/2008 8:42:44 AM PDT by Cringing Negativism Network

Just saying:

Seems more and more, like there's not a whole lot of behavioral difference between those on one side of the aisle who see everything through the prism of hating Bush,...

And those on one side of the aisle who see everything through the prism of hating John McCain.

Please. Stop attacking the Republican.

Apparently you haven’t been paying attention for the last two years.

The stalwart republicans have wiped the floor with Reid and his minions. Pelosi has nothing to show but a minimum wage raised to a level already surpassed by inflation.

Your whining has no basis.

No, but it does call into question your powers of observation.

You are so far off the historical base it is amazing.

American thought is closely bunched around a percieved middle. The way to win any ground is to capture the middle. The extremist right has been pushed aside. The gains in the middle will offset the minor loss.

The extreme left on the other hand will destroy the Rats. If it does not prevail, it will burn the place down.

The right will be wounded but able to fight another day. The left will be crippled for a long time.

“I don’t see anything noble in NOT VOTING.”

Most of us ARE voting. For any conservative that we can find down-ticket. We do not vote for liberals, even if they have an “R” next to their name.

“Would you like to play “Whose policy is it: McCain or the Democrat Party?”

Now THAT sounds fun!

“He won’t raise taxes”

Google McCain Liebermann and prepare for some heavy disappointment.

“he does not deny the reality of Islamic Jihad”

Google McCain and Kosovo, then McCain and GITMO then McCain and waterboarding

“he won’t cut and run in Iraq.”

What was the main excuse used for invading that nation?

The 2006 election results blow that theory out of the water. The GOP moved left (towards your “perceived middle”) and got wrecked, as those who want to vote for a Democrat prefer the real thing.

The most successful GOP President in a generation - arguably the only successful one since Ike - did not “move to the middle”. He moved the entire country to his point of view, and was an unapologetic conservative.

What you are describing is called “triangulation”, “pandering”, “poll-driven politics” and the like. If finding that to be unacceptable makes me part of the “extremist right”, then I’ll proudly wear the label.

I just don’t like McLame, I don’t hate him though. I just won’t vote for a backstabbing, Juan Hernandez hiring, too far left RINO.

I will be voting on election day,I will write in a candidate and vote down ticket.

Suits me fine.

McCain is a Republican? Coulda fooled me.

Whether we like it or not, "very conservative" voters (who tend to frequent Free Republic) are nowhere near a majority in either the Republican Party nor in the United States of America.

Never were. Never will be.

Expecting the 5.2% tail to wag the dog in every single Presidential election is simply not reality.

Sometimes you have to choose between merely "right-of-center" or "God DAMN America" or throwing your vote away by writing in "Ronald Reagan" or whatever non-viable conservative candidate most floats your boat.

"We must hang together, gentlemen...else, we shall most assuredly hang separately." ..... Benjamin Franklin

The Weekly Standard .... Take a glance at Gallup Organization surveys. In 2007, self-identified Republicans were about 28 percent of the mass electorate, self-identified Democrats were about 32 percent, and self-identified independents were about 39 percent. Fifty-five percent of Republicans self-identified as "conservative," 26 percent as "moderate," and 13 percent as "very conservative." ......... Now, do the simple math. "Very conservative" Republicans are only about 3.6 percent--28 percent times 13 percent--of the mass electorate. If that just seems too low, consult the American National Election Studies (ANES) and add the 12 percent of independents who lean Republican to the 12 percent who are self-described "weak Republicans" and the 16 percent who are self-described "strong Republicans." This sums to 40 percent of the mass electorate. But that still means just 5.2 percent of all voters (40 percent times 13 percent) qualify as "very conservative" Republicans.

Socialist haters are the most focused since they can’t stand either Bush or McCain.

We gain nothing by having B. HUSSEIN Obama or Hellery in the White house; on the contrary, we'll probably wind up with the House and the Senate under DemCom control as weel if it looks like either of those two are getting in.

Then we'll have at the least Four (4) years of HELL that we'll have to try to recover from. Do you all remember the damage that the Klintonistas caused?? We're STILL paying for the damage they've done, now. By my reading of the Constitution and US Criminal Code, Der Schlickmeister and his wife should be in JAIL for treason. You want rampant, male-hating, gun-hating, run-amok Feminazi bulldykes rampaging through the White House and government power centers, go ahead and vote Hellery, or stay home. Either way, we get the HBIC (head bitch in charge).

You want a radical, gun-hating, black nationalist racist, backed up by every Black Panther, Islamofreak PAC, and commie/socialist with a pipe bomb and a cause, in the White House, controlling our military and law enforcement, go ahead and vote for B. HUSSEIN Obama, or stay home. Either way, you'll get him and his “G-D America” preacher, and all those clapping, cheering folks in the background. Anyone out here from Philly? Remember Mayor Thug Street's proclamation - “The Bruthas and sistas are in charge now! The Bruthus and sistas are in charge now!”

Yeah...they were in charge, all right...and Philly is sooooo much better off for it, isn't it?

As a matter of fact, the NEW Mayor, Brutha Nutter, brought in a little Fascist thug from DC as the new police chief, who, openly and unabashedly on his radio talk show, said that he CLEARLY would take away law-abiding citizens' right to own and carry concealed firearms for their own personal protection in the city, if he could (unfortunately for HIM, we have a strong State Premption law that prevents him from doing this). THAT's what we get when the DemComs get in control.

I understand McCain is a RINO. But I also think that he will make a much better President than either the closet racist or the open, hostile socialist. And I believe that if he wins, we'll at LEAST have gridlock in Congress, which protects us overall - when they start “coming together in a bipartisan manner” WE THE PEOPLE get F**ed. Always.

So that's the choices we have, and it is reality. The Next Reagan isn't going to come riding in from the sunrise to hold the GOP together anytime soon. WE must do that. WE are the base. And we must hold our party's feet to the fire when they bail on us, and then RUTHLESSLY throw them to the dogs and replace them with real Conservatives when we can.

Third parties are not an option - they give power to the DemComs. Ross Perot and EVERY “conservative” who pulled the lever for him TWICE gave us the Klintonista Regime.

Funny...we're all so full of answers out here...why don't any of us get out into the Political Arena and MAKE it change? The “collective” widom and conservative political acumen that we all seem to possess goes NOWHERE unless we're in the driver's seat.

For myself, I know I wouldnt last three months in politics. I would be jailed for assault and battery.

But TELL me there aren't many amongst us out here in Freep land that are savvy, politically, legally, financially, that can enter the fray and put OUR ideas forth, push OUR agenda, and OUR principles onto the center stage??

Unless and until we do that, all this chatter is just...chatter.

At least McCain is out there, and will take the brunt of our displeasure. I know all the arguements against him - believe me, I am no fan of his - being a strict Second Amendment rights and Constitutionalist, he is NO friend to me. However, I do believe that he will leave the “status quo” intact so as not to turn his base against him, and againt the Party. I do NOT think he will work with the DemComs against us on that issue, and I KNOW that he will not cut and run against the Islamofreaks.

We do NOT have another viable option. Ron Paul will NOT carry it. Neither will Huckabee, and our other wishful thinking “conservative saviors” QUIT on us.

It isn't pretty, but it IS reality, and we need to deal with it.

Let the DemComs self-destruct...let THEM tear each other up, exposing who the REAL racists are and always have been, let THEM spend THEIR war chests, beating each other into the ground. I love to see it - it's far past the time for it, and it makes for good cinema! The Alien Media Nation CAN'T ignore it, no matter how hard they try. We're our own worst enemy, and the REAL enemy is salivating at our in-fighting.

One team, one fight - or we lose, more than we can imagine.

Right-of-center would be a perfectly acceptable compromise to me. I am not demanding all or nothing.

Show me a right-of-center candidate, and I’ll show you a candidate who won’t be on the ballot this November.

I’m positive we McCain dislikers (I don’t really “hate” him...yet) are far more focused. Bush-haters are mere amateurs.

Then again, I’m a CONSERVATIVE, not a Republican. I see no need to support someone whose philosophy is aligned with (D)s just because they might be working under the (R) designation.
