Republicans long term gain if Obamanation wins
05/25/2008 | Jyro

I'm currently of the opinion the disaster that has been president Bush for the last few years (yes, I was a supporter of George till he quit being a conservative) should cause Obamanation to win.

I'm all for fighting the war over there. What I'm not for is letting the current congressional majority pass whatever they want and the President not showing any leadership skills with Republicans currently in congress. RINO's like McCain have ruined the party with their descent to moderation from Regan style Republican values.

Obama should win this election so the nation can see the real differences in liberals and conservatives since Bush and McCain have clouded the differences so much. I feel like if Obama dosent win, Republicans will lose in the longrun. If Republicans become a different flavor of liberal, what good are they.

There is no other way to interpret your vanity, except that you hate President Bush and you WANT Obama to win.

Never apologize for them.
Never appease them.
Never forget.

it won’t be good but 4 years of him won’t doom us.

Maybe you haven't heard of Jimmy Carter and the mess we're dealing with in the middle east 30 years later.

How about LBJ and his great society programs that ruined the poor?

How about FDR and the Ponzi scheme called social security?

Did I mention Bill Clinton and his moral leadership?

Obama will be the "coup de grâce".

We were going to teach the GOP a lesson last election, remember? All we accomplished was to further strenthen the liberal/socialists, and now they are about to put us away.

We conservatives are an endangered species. we have to challenge every liberal every time.

“We’d have a Saul Alinksy-ite, ACORN organizer, Bill Ayers chum running the most powerful nation on Earth!”

And don’t forget his direct access to nuclear weapons. Absolutely frightening. He’ll be like a kid playing with a loaded gun aimed at the country.

There was no vanity intended, just what I think of President Bush’s current leadership skills. I don’t hate the President, look at my past posts. I’m very dissapointed in him caving to Democrats and not being able to unify the Republican congress to push through votes when we actually had the majority. ANWAR is a perfect example and now we are trying to elect one of the republicans that went against the President’s energy policy that would have allowed drilling for our own resources. All this current oil price is about is the transfer of our wealth to other countries and the current congress and President is allowing it while they investigate important things like baseball.

The republicans are expecting this and this is their contingency?

Why don’t they run a candidate who actually holds the values they state to be their foundation?

“There was no vanity intended”

My understanding from comments and context is that posts that are merely a poster’s opinion, but are posted to start a thread are called vanities.

If it hadn’t been for President Bush’s leadership skills, that you so despise, you might not be alive today, we might well have been attacked by the terrorists with WMD.

If you want to blame someone, blame those “principled conservatives” who stayed home in 2006, handing Congress to the Democrats and are about to hand the country to Obama and the Democrats.

I offer backup - for you and your friends;

http://halfricanrevolution.blogspot.com/2007/01/facts-and-falsehoods-about-obama.html

Truth: Barack Obama’s attendance at a Muslim elementary school in Indonesia was discussed in his autobiography, “Dreams from My Father”. It was originally published in 1995. From his book, page 142:

In Indonesia, I’d spent 2 years at a Muslim school, 2 years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I’d pretend to close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended.

Now everyone can have it.

We had a slim majority, not nearly enough to override the constant filibustering the Democrats engaged in.

Full truth with quotes and references in Daniel Pipe’s article.

Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

http://www.danielpipes.org/article/5286

“His former Roman Catholic and Muslim teachers, along with two people who were identified by Obama’s grade-school teacher as childhood friends, say Obama was registered by his family as a Muslim at both schools he attended.”

....

Also read the excerpt in Time mag from Obama’s Audacity of Hope, where he rambles on about his religion:

“In our household the Bible, the Koran, and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology.

...

The Christians with whom I worked recognized themselves in me; they saw that I knew their Book and shared their values and sang their songs. But they sensed that a part of me remained removed, detached, an observer among them.

...

It was because of these newfound understandings — that religious commitment did not require me to suspend critical thinking, disengage from the battle for economic and social justice, or otherwise retreat from the world that I knew and loved — that I was finally able to walk down the aisle of Trinity United Church of Christ one day and be baptized. It came about as a choice and not an epiphany; the questions I had did not magically disappear.”

It’s worth reading — it’s NOT a discourse of a religious person, more like that of one who felt he had to pick a religion to advance his political agenda and is justifying it.

Their New America could mean 100 million new immigrant voters by the next election, carefully selected so as to vote the way they are told.

Mccain plans the same. any luck there wont be an election in 2012, armed resistance should be in full effect.
