I like Firefox, personally. I use it at work. It usually doesn't freeze up or close itself due to an error the way Internet Explorer sometimes does.

IE is the best for seamless functionality and compatibility. Firefox is better only if you’re surfing for pron.

Woohoo!

Firefox is the absolute best browser I have ever used, and I can’t wait for the new version. I haven’t yet tried it because I didn’t want to risk breaking any of my themes or addons.

Mozilla is hoping to break the record for downloads in a single day! I think they will make it easily!

I’ve been using it a week now. Works great.

I switched to Firefox almost a year ago and won’t go back to IE. The only complaint I have, and I think it is Microsoft, is my Hotmail inbox is harder to read than with IE. But that’s no big deal.

Firefox is the best. I have Adblock Plus, NoScript, and Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer addons installed. Advertisements really bug me, especially flashing ones. With NoScript and AdBlock, I no longer see any advertisements. I can’t use any other browser now, I’ve gotten so spoiled.

Has anyone found an easy method to create desktop shortcuts from Firefox?

I haven’t — and still go to IE just to create a damned desktop shortcut..

I love Firefox, but I hope the new version is more stable than 2.0.14. I’ve been using it since 1.something back in late 2004, but the latest release has been buggy for me. It hangs regularly for 30+ seconds, and it sometimes crashes or closes itself without any warnings. I never had any problems with any previous versions over a half-dozen computers and have been waiting anxiously for an upgrade that will undo these problems.

3RC1 and RC2 have been great on my desktop; unusable on my two older laptops. Start out OK, but before long (one minute) are using 100% of the CPU and disk thrashing like crazy. Happens even in safe mode. No obvious configuration or resource problem and Firefox developers have not made any headway on the bug I submitted.

I’m a big fan of Opera. Seems faster than Firefox to me. Is definitely about 5 million times faster than IE. In addition all of the built in features already handle the most popular addons for Firefox. The only problem is that in an IE world, its strict standards adherence can cause problems.

I have a crapload of addons, some of which may not be compatible with v3. I’d rather wait a couple of months to give the authors time to update them before upgrading to the new version, but I’m not sure if the newer, better, shiner auto-updating Firefox will let me block the updates it’s so excited about looking for. Is there a way to do that?

I love firefox! It has a feature that allows you to download videos from the web, such as from YouTube, if used in conjunction with its plug-in and the free Adobe Media Player. Invaluable.
