I have a cousin over there on his third tour as well. God Bless you all! Protecting our freedoms is more than any of us can ask from all those brave men and women.
Don’t think words can express my graditude.
To your N-I-L and his squad...
Thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for helping to keep the U.S. free.
Thank you for helping to free the Iraqi people.
Come home safe.
Dan
To all the brave men and women serving our country.
Thank you for your courage and dedication.
You are what America is all about.
Maybe you dont hear alot of positive feedback from back home, but we are here.
Waiting for you.
Rooting for you.
Praying for you.
Many communities have tents and barrels set up for donations at their 4th of July celebrations. The public outpouring is amazing. Recently there was even a radio thon for donations. We have not forgotten you. For without you - We wouldnt be us.
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!!!
Thank you for this thread GrandmaC.
To GrandmaC’s nephew and the soldiers with him,
Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you as you go about your job each day.
Please accept my deepest thanks and respect for the mission you are accomplishing and the lives you are protecting here and in Iraq.
My husband is in the Army and has been to Iraq once already and may be called again soon for another tour. So know that I understand the pain of separation and the joy of reunion. In this light, my prayers and thoughts are with your families also.
I can’t imaging what you go through each day or how you must feel being there. I will pray for each of you especially after the recent loss. My prayers are with those families also.
May God bless and keep you safe so you may return home quickly to the people who miss you most.
God bless our guys. We don’t know you but we love you and appreciate what you are doing. This Mom and her kids are VERY proud of you!!!
Grandma,
I also have a friend in Afghanistan who leads these young men, and he has lost some guys recently. A friend and I send him care packages to share with the other soldiers.
Your nephew, and all these heros in Iraq and Afghanistan, have my prayers and gratitude.
I want all of our heros to know that, although the news media here in the U.S. seems to emphasize the bad news and anti war sentiment here, the majority of Americans here on the homefront appreciate and support you, and your mission. We pray for you all daily.
Because of your sacrifices many people can enjoy freedom, and we will NEVER forget you. Thank you all so much.
It is totally appropriate to acknowledge our servicemen and women on the July 4Th weekend; the declaration from tranny never ends. Thank you for this thread GrandmaC and opportunity. God Bless you and your nephew and his mates. We are grateful.
We have all suffered a great loss. But the families and loved ones of those who died bear the greatest burden of grief, and they are foremost in our thoughts. Our Servicemen and women achieve remarkable things under the most arduous and dangerous conditions sometimes, alas, at personal sacrifice. Their bravery is well known and rightly admired. But we must never forget what their loved ones have to endure: the worry and uncertainty they must live with while continuing to run homes and families and as in this case the terrible loss. Theirs is a courage of the most profound kind.
This country owes not just the honored dead but also those whom they have left behind an enormous debt of gratitude.
Without you, we are nothing ...
Without you, others are nothing ...
Because of you, we are everything.
This is both a thank-you to you, dear one, and an acknowledgment of Him.
GramdmaC!!! Bless your heart, it’s so good to see you. It’s almost July 4th. Hope you have seen the recent posts about redrock’s health struggles. He needs your prayers.
Not a day goes by that we don’t think of and pray for our men and women in uniform. Words cannot express our gratitude for your service to our country and the cause of freedom everywhere. The sacrifices are great; we will never forget them or take them for granted. The accomplish also is great. History will prove that the work you do each and every day by doing your duty changed the world for the better, no less than when our fathers and grandfathers liberated Europe. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and please know we remember well those who have been lost.
Thank you for your service seems like such small, tiny little words to show the overwhelming gratitude I feel to each and every one of you. You are my Hero’s. You are the best face of America. God Bless you! And Thank You For All That You Do!
Gloria Jane
Please tell your service member that we know they are doing a good job under difficult conditions. We love them, respect them and pray for them. They are the good guys and ladies.
We send you prayers and a hearty THANK YOU for everything that you do. Without your service to our country, my family would not be able to rest comfortably.
May God watch over you and protect you. Give you strength in a time of need.
God Blessings be upon you!

First of all, thank you. I do believe for those of you who are over there, you are doing good works. Just yesterday I read an article in the Wall Street Journal about Iraq’s who were being interviewed and how grateful they were and couldn’t think of a way to ever show their appreciation to the U.S. But they were also afraid that the U.S. would leave too soon. Please know many people are praying for all of you. God bless you all. Nora
Tomorrow is our great nation's Independence Day. Once again our citizens can exercise their freedom and liberty in celebrating this wonderful occasion as a result of two immutable factors:
1) The grace and mercy of our Creator and Almighty GOD as shown through His only begotten son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.
2) The bravery, dedication, and committment of our beloved soldiers who place themselves in harm's way to protect our nation so that we do not have to live in fear.
Nothing we can say can ever adequately express our gratitude to each of you for your service. Never doubt our love and appreciation of you. Never doubt that we pray earnestly, daily for your safety. Always remember that when you return home from your mission, family and friends will be waiting for you with open arms to thank you for your sacrifice. May GOD ALMIGHTY protect you from harm, comfort you in times of trouble, and return you home safely. - OB1
Gentlemen:
You are foremost in our thoughts at home on Independence Day. We are grateful to have you laying your lives on the line to protect something unspeakably precious. Those who take it for granted will only know how precious if they lose it. The people around you will only know how precious if, God willing, they obtain it with your help. The rest of us who do know offer you our heart-felt thanks and our prayers for your safe return. May God bless and keep each and every one of you.
