Al Gore today called for replacing all carbon based electric power generation with alternative forms, primarily wind, solar, and geothermal in the next ten years...I pulled up these Intellicast wind maps a few hours after he delivered his speech. They cover the entire eastern portion of the country at 10PM EDT. Seems to be a problem. Its night (no solar) and theres no wind. It happens!

Since Owl Whore is extremely wealthy, he could be a fine example to the rest of us, by immediately stopping his and his family’s use of Carbon based energy. No offset BS, just stop using it.
And where are they gonna put all those recyclable non-toxic giga-amp batteries to store up the wind juice for when the wind isn’t blowing? Or are the engineers going to specify that all the wind turbines be downwind 24-7 from Algore’s @$$?
I checked with my energy company for a new plan. They offer here in Texas wind alternatives; but they don’t offer them. The letter they sent out telling us we would save money regardless of any new plan except the one we are on now with the lowest rate(it will phase out).
In other words, there really isn’t any savings only increases and depending on the plan you choose you can save ha ha at a larger rate. Now how they figure that one out? And guess what you have your usual taxes to pay on top of your new savings higher rate.
Oh yes, they have a PR firm that tells you how great it is to get screwed.

Al Gore's Mansion Uses As Much Electricity In A Month As An Average House Does In A Year

I also think he consumes enough food in one week to feed a family of five for six months.
Rolling blackouts and brownouts were part of Massachusetts’ energy plan in the 1980s right in the midst of Michael Dookie’s so called “Massachusetts Miracle”. HA!
AG is such a pig. I will never accept anything he has to say about anything (period)The whining bastard.
Algore calls for BLACKout..
Isn’t that a racist term?
Associating BLACK with no power, powerless or a failure of the power grid?
Damned right it’s racist!!!
Shame on you Algore — you racist ^*&^%*(*&%$^%&^
To be fair, a Solar One design does produce energy 24/7 due to holding all the Sun’s heat in liquid salt tanks. Unless you’re in Alaska in the Winter of course.
How? Even the most optimistic estimates call for no more than 20% of the nation’s electricity to be generated by 2018 through dilithium crystal chamber and naquada generator technology.

Separated at birth???
And what about the winter time when we have 8-9 hours of sunlight during the day ? How many batteries are gonna be needed to store 16 hours of juice. Looks to me like we will be burning candles and lanterns with no refrigeration or heating/cooling at night.
How about we just pull the meter on Gore’s ridiculous lifestyle, then put him on trial for his misdeeds (illegal naturalization scheme during the 1996 campaign, at the very least), find him guilty, and hang him by the neck until he’s dead, dead, dead?

“Your Carbon Ration Card
July 7, 2008; Page A12
While American politicians mull a carbon cap-and-trade system for industry, our British cousins are already contemplating the next step: personal CO2 rations.
A Parliamentary committee in May proposed giving all British adults “carbon allowances” that they would be required to spend along with, you know, real money when buying gasoline, airline tickets, electricity or natural gas. Britons who wanted more credits than they were issued could try to buy them again, with real money from those who hadn’t spent their allotment. All of this is supposed to give people a financial incentive to reduce energy consumption and thus their carbon “footprint.” ...

“”If that’s the shape the trading will take, we will simply move our cement operation to Ukraine,” a cement factory manager shouted into the lecture hall. “Then there won’t be any trading here, nothing will be produced here anymore — the lights will simply go out here.”
This reminds of the writer for Time Magazine — I think his name is Joe Klein — who called for getting rid of all air conditioning last week. Obviously he’s a Yankee from a state bordering Canada, if he does not know how much air conditioning changed life in the South. Take away the A/C, and within a few years Rhode Island would have more people than Florida.
