What's up with Free Republic? It's awfully slow and when I can get it to open...usually after two or three times...it opens in Safe Mode. Is it just me or is the Sara Palin news swamping our server?

I agree. I thought my DNS server was going on the fritz but then I realized I'm using OpenDNS as my Domain Name Server, so it sounds like a FreeRepublic problem.

it’s FR. I reset my router, rebooted my modem....still nothing. All my non political sites are fine. FR, Michelle Malkin, LGF.....can’t get to them. I think it’s the excitment about Palin. Heck I’m thrilled.

I’ve been on FR a very long time. Even during presidential election nights the servers have not run as slowly as they have the last 24 hours. It’s really bad.

Yep - couple of days ago I couldn’t get on at all and it was well after Midnight when most normal people are asleep - kept kicking me to Yahoo and all their garbage. Been slow every time since then. Also kicked me out a couple of times today. Not sure what’s going on but now I know how a baby feels when his mom takes away the pacifier!
