Obama's teleprompter hits the trail Posted: 06:50 PM ET Obama delivered his remarks at the Colorado State Fair of a teleprompter. (CNN) — It appears Barack Obama's teleprompter is hitting the campaign trail. The Democratic presidential nominee has never tried to hide the fact he delivers speeches off the device, though normally he doesn't use one at standard campaign rallies and town hall events. But the Illinois senator used a teleprompter at both his Colorado events Monday — making for a particularly peculiar scene in Pueblo, where the prompter was set up in the middle of what is normally a rodeo ring.

A president Obama would be reading a teleprompter during visits to foreign heads of state!

Someone needs to photoshop a teleprompter sticking out of an empty suit and label it “Obama’s REAL running mate”.

Isn’t it ironic the messiah needs a teleprompter to make fun of John McCain for not using email?

Hahahaha!! That’s all they talk about at DU when it’s about Sarah. They put her down because she reads the Teleprompter. Can’t wait to see their reaction to this.

Anyone know if those things are sensitive to EM interference and the frequency? Or perhaps wire cutters?

Obama (in the style of Frank Drebin in Naked Gun 33 1/3):

“I come before you today as an American...PAUSE....no, not an American Paws - we’ve had enough animal references in this campaign - simply as an American like you....WAIT FOR APPLAUSE....no no, I’m waiting - you’re not. Go ahead and appalud! (applause rings out). In this election I want to...RAISE ARM AND TWIRL FINGER....I mean, I want to turn America around! POINT....whoops, sorry, don’t point at me...I’m supposed to point at you...you are the future! Thank you and God bless you...HUG WIFE AND KIDS...hey you pervs get your hands off Michelle!”

“Maybe the teleprompter can debate.”

LOL!

Obama’s camp has finally realized the liability of having Obama speak on the stump. They know they can’t afford more of his gaffs.

though normally he doesn't use one at standard campaign rallies

That's patently false.  Obama uses a prompter at EVERY speech, period.  Perhaps not town hall events, but every campaign rally.  Must be a new reporter on the beat.
