Interesting...I would go into a story about my WASP red-neck deer hunting bitter clinger in-laws here in central Georgia but trust me, Obama’s TOAST in Georgia.

North or south jersey, rural or city?

I’m about 45 minutes east of Atlanta where it’s almost all red, but I work in and around Atlanta...buckhead, Decatur...almost all blue with some real whack jobs...

you can tell...with bumper stickers like ‘Bush lied people died’ almost everywhere.

Going home from work is like leaving East Berlin.

I wouldn’t worry about one strange in law. Conservatives are not voting for Obama. Barry will not get the Republican, Reagan Democrat or Independent voters.

ooops my bad, I just noticed you said central. It’s the first time I’ve heard of such. It’s just that usually I hear north jersey and south Jersey are like two different states.

Here in California all I’ve seen is NoObama bumper stickers. I’m sure it’s different in say San Francisco but really nice to see here. No Obama signs but some McCain/Palin yard signs sprung up this weekend.

none of the Jews I know in Mass or ny have shed any of their liberal indoctrination...I’m the only one...which is why I love this forum.

Even if Mc could get more jewish vote in NY it won’t matter; same california, ma. It only matters in Florida which is so close..and maybe if Lieberman gets down their it will help w/the retirees.

Palin is too much of a “shiksa” to help.

The older Jewish may remember WWII or the holocaust, or have some allegiance to Israel

I’m sorry, but most of my co-religionists under 50 are a bunch of moonbats. They feel guilty for slavery and white racisim even though their grandparents themselves were in slave-like conditions in Europe.

Go figure?

The Jewish community is turning on Obama. We don’t need them all to make a difference in some of the states. With all the Democrats that are defecting this should be one of the most interesting elections. McCain is only down 2 in Washington and Wisconsin. Only down 4 in Oregon. Every little bit helps.

California may surprise you when the numbers come in. I’m not suggesting that McCain will win this state but there is NO enthusiasm for Obama here. Every Democrat I have spoken has said they will not vote for Obama.

The stepping up of the race issue is going to make the Bradley effect even larger. I believe the Bradley effect isn't caused by racism; I think it's caused by the fear of being called racist. It is only on the Dem. side.

Republicans are used to being called racist. That card has been played for so long we no longer care. For example; My husband works at a cable company. A black customer was disconnected for nonpayment. He cried racism, my husband laughed and said, "yeah, you're right" and then hung up. We're no longer taking part in their little paranoid charade. By the way he paid the bill the next day.

“Liberal reform Jew” = “Six-pointed unitarian”.

That's funny. I haven't heard that take in over 40 years. We lived in a very Jewish/Ethnic Catholic neighborhood growing up, and my mother was a Unitarian (extremely conservative though -- figure that one out.) Anyhow, when the Orthodox Rabbi who lived next door heard she was a Unitarian he asked: "Are you a Jewnitarian?" she didn't quite know how to respond to that. When she told him she'd grown up Presbyterian he explained how fashionable it was for the reformed Jews in the neighborhood to try Unitarianism for a while. They got along well; the Rabbi always kidded my mother about really being a Jew.

A lot of People from North Jersey refer to everything south of Woodbridge as "South" Jersey. It can be confusing.. even to people who live here. North Jersey feels like a different State to me. South Jersey sometimes feels like a different country!

So far I've only seen Obama lawn signs. With Sarah Palin joining the ticket, I expect to see McCain/Palin'08 signs popping up soon.. and then the libs will quickly steal them.

If even Dov Hivkind (very much a DEM)

That's another fellow I can't figure out. Orthodox and very rightwing (perhaps Kahanist) on Israel. Yet a Hillary Democrat?

Why?

I'm in Monmouth County near the beach. Fortunately, the far left tend to keep a low profile here.. That is until you have a Pro-Troop Rally.. Then you'll get the thugs who will flip you the bird, curse at you or throw trash in your direction. But for the most part we live in harmony here.

I certainly understand what the BE was and is all about.

And no your not being combative by a long shot.

My Jewish SIL says he can not vote for Obama, not because he is black but because 0bama dissed his candidate Hillary.

Personally it does not matter what reason anyone gives for not voting Zero, just as long as they follow through with that attitude till election day.

Telling them Zero bama does not get my vote because he is incompetent does not cut it for his mind numbed supporters.

I could very well be racists in their eyes but who the heck cares as long as he is defeated.

I think that it's a pretty good bet that any Jews who Freep will not be voting for Obama, and in fact, never considered it, due to his marxist leanings, friends, and mentors.

Wish I could say the same about my state (Crazifornia)! Lots of new Obama yard/window signs up in my neighborhood. However, there are also a lot of 24/7/365 vehicle stickers that let me know my neighborhood is full of a lot of military/vet/family-of-military folks, and I’m hoping & praying a silent majority in California rises UP and votes strong for conservatism. But I’m surrounded at work & in other settings with people who’ve been unleashing the Palin-bashing, even in this short time since she’s been introduced. It’s depressing to hear the verbatim bashing-points being echoed by so many otherwise respected people (i.e. the IT dudes at my firm).

You understand it well. Thanks for the re-ping. Hopefully your SIL will get a well articulated email out and ping others who may be feeling the same way she does. They need affirmation right now that BHO is bad for many well thought reasons.

Rock On, FReeper FRiend.

Condi's term of service will end in a few months. Her position on this issue does not reflect the consensus of Republicans.

Your sampling I’d trust more than any from the MSM.

Very interesting. Good call on the .380. :)
