This is how the General would have reacted to what is going on in Iraq and the overall War on Terror. It is a great video.
"Men, this stuff that some sources sling around about America wanting out of this war, not wanting to fight, is a crock of bullshit. Americans love to fight, traditionally. All real Americans love the sting and clash of battle. You are here today for three reasons. First, because you are here to defend your homes and your loved ones. Second, you are here for your own self respect, because you would not want to be anywhere else. Third, you are here because you are real men and all real men like to fight. When you, here, everyone of you, were kids, you all admired the champion marble player, the fastest runner, the toughest boxer, the big league ball players, and the All-American football players. Americans love a winner. Americans will not tolerate a loser. Americans despise cowards. Americans play to win all of the time. I wouldn't give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That's why Americans have never lost nor will ever lose a war; for the very idea of losing is hateful to an American."
Well, we saw what happened to RumsFeld, the Dems were able to run him out.
Patton was ran out also.

Yes, Gen. Patton was removed as the heard of 3rd Army. But he ws not defeated or chaed out of anything. Indeed he was planning on resigning his commission and going back to the States. Patton’s field of battle shifted. He was planning a definite Patton-style political attack against Eisenhower prior to his death. Patton had alluded to such a thing in his memoirs. He was determined to see that America never again was left unprepared for war as it had been at the outset of WWII. The quote on my tagline tells you he understood liberals quite well.

("Liberal Democrats are the lowest form of politician." General George S. Patton Jr.)
I served under Patton’s son. He commanded the 2nd Armor Division in 1975, and then he went over to the Europe theater.
I was with the 2/1 Cav under them as Cobra/Huey crewchief.
