This move coupled with the battle of Wuhan, which is nearing it’s final stages Chaing Kai-Shek is in a pretty bad position. Wuhan at this point is nearly encircled and Chaing is going to have to make a decision (which he will inside the next 10 days) whether to make a stand or withdraw to the west.
