The thumping of a bunny's foot awakened a Madison woman early Saturday morning, the rabbit's rapid rapping allowing her to confront a burglar in her downtown apartment and scare him away.
The attempted burglary was at an apartment in the 500 block of North Pinckney Street about 3 a.m. Saturday.
The 25-year-old female told Madison police her pet bunny thumps its foot whenever someone comes in or near her residence, so when "Thumper" started his thumping, she woke up, saw a man in her apartment, yelled at him and scared him off.
Nothing was taken from her home.
The suspect is a white male, 5'5" tall, 150 lbs., with short hair.

Reality is that bunny didn’t give a hoot about the intruder - he was just wanting somebody to put another pancake on his head!

Thanks, Laz.
I thought I would have to go to chickipedia.com, but you saved me the trouble... for now.
To: SERKIT
Fortunately, the burglar had not read The Book of Armaments.

What are the odds that "bunny" has to actually "do" anything with that slime?
There are limits even to what viagra can accomplish.

Hey, great story! I can see my Harriet Houdini pulling off a similar stunt - she doesn't mess around!
I'll have to get some pictures of my babies posted and show them off a little bit.
