Just spoke to my husband in Iraq. He made a point of saying that this is American and we will have a *peaceful* change of power.

The guys aren’t happy.

So....Obama has the 'ugly as a mud fence women and the slapheads who love them' vote sewn up.

So he's got that going for him.

how about the world reaction

Hamas fired dozens of rockets at Israel

GAZA (Reuters) - Hamas fired dozens of rockets at Israel on Wednesday after Israeli forces killed six Palestinian militants in an eruption of violence that disrupted a four-month-old truce along the Gaza Strip's frontier.

The rocket attacks, which included salvoes that landed in the coastal Israeli city of Ashkelon, caused no casualties.

Sources in Hamas, an Islamist group that runs Gaza, said calm could return if Israel did not retaliate. Israel's defense minister also signaled it did not want the truce to collapse.

A breakdown of the Egyptian-brokered Gaza ceasefire would pose yet another challenge to U.S. efforts, opposed by Hamas, to achieve a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians.

Russia to base missiles on EU border...

Russia will place short-range missile systems on the EU's eastern border to counter planned US missile defence installations in Eastern Europe, President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.

"Iskander missile systems will be deployed in the Kaliningrad region to neutralise the missile defence system," Medvedev said.

"There will also be radio-electronic neutralisation of the new US missile defence installations from the Kaliningrad region," he added.

Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave with a large military base that is wedged between Poland and Lithuania on the Baltic Sea coastline.

Iran warned U.S. forces of Iranian airspace

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran warned U.S. forces in Iraq on Wednesday that it would respond to any violation of Iranian airspace, a message analysts said seemed directed at the new U.S. president-elect more than neighboring American troops.

The Iranian army statement, reported by state radio, followed a cross-border raid last month by U.S. forces into Syria, a move that was condemned by Damascus and Tehran.

Anyone who re-ups now is certifiable. Add to that the inevitable war(s) that Obama’s weakness will engender, and we will see a draft. Of men AND women, too. Fortunately, most of the draftees wil be those “youth voters.” For “extra sauce,” don’t forget the cuts Obama has pledged to make in defense spending. That means they will have substandard equipment, which will make them cannon fodder. All I can say to that is, “screw them.”

My heart does go out to the career military and rare smart anti-Obama young people, though.

I think you just might be right.
I worked the polls yesterday...I could peg the dems with about 90% accuracy as they were walking up to my table. I was depressed after about an hour...this used be a strong republican suburb of NH....
