Well done. I will do the same. I called my cable company today to ask if they could actually remove MSNBC from my line-up. (I knew what the answer would be, I just wanted to express how I felt).

If it ain't discussed on FR, it's not of great importance to me.

I know we're all blue in the face but this media is so corrupt it borders on being criminal.

Well, than you miss the start of 2012 campaign by dems. Today MSNBC was hitting Palin with everything they got - mostly that she is a big spender on clothes....

If we could on perform Vanity Control on FR, things might be a little more relevant.

All we’re getting now is vanities.

You might want to consider just calling up the cable company (or the sattelite in my case) and shut them off.

I did. They were flabbergasted! Could not get the rep off the phone. No cable? No sattelite? But, but, but, how will you, er, um, you know, watch stuff?

I won’t.

< / silence ..... >

Ah, sweet, sweet peace and quiet.

I just put on the Arabic soap operas.

They're hilarious. And I can't even understand much of what they're saying.

Oh...and some Arabic commercials are a stitch as well.

Well said. Since Election Night I haven’t watched a single minute of news. I’ve been on FR, watched movies, worked and spent time with family.

Good job.

Step one is, don’t allow these people access to your brain. The communications media have abused their privilege for way too long.

They think there is nothing you can do about it. They forget there are a hundred channels to choose from. I’d far rather watch, well, just about anything rather than listen to them jabbering on. And if Fox is marginally better than CNN, at some point the margin just isn’t worth it.

This is what makes DirectTV so great. You can CREATE your favorites channel and you don’t have to select ANY of these garbage channels. I don’t have any of the cable news channels selected. HEY, WHEN THE HECK IS FREE REPUBLIC GOING TO GO LIVE WITH FREE REPUBLIC TV NEWS????? JimRob, what’s going on, when you gonna do this?

Great.

Another guy that will be asking the rest of us what the media are saying because he doesn’t watch the news.

What ever happened to “know thine enemy”?

Excellent!

I didn't even have the urge to turn on FOX news last night. After reading their attacks on our leader Palin, I am very glad I didn't. I will be cancelling cable as soon as I get DSL set up.

oh my..and I thought I was the only one..LOL...

On the morning of Nov.5th, I woke up and while having coffee..I switched to Lifetime movie network...not because they are so moral or anything, but they have good, old, cheezy movies on almost 24/7... and those cheezy movies always suck me in.

And that was that, I was tempted yesterday a little, so i broke down and rented “Expelled”(Ben Stein) on PPV to keep me off the news networks. I will still tune into Hannity at night I think...and I will eventually watch the morning news again(once the messiah coverage slows a little)

but cheers to you! And to me....

So, I know how you feel..and it feels good.

Well if you can find the Townhall.com website, there is a list of affiliated radio stations, some of which you can even listen to on the web if there is not one in your city.

They use SRN news which will give you hourly updates that are credible. The talk hosts include Bill Bennett, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Michael Reagan, and Dennis Prager.

And I still recommend looking over the “casting” of the day’s events. Read the headlines, look at FR, which will point out obvious errors, bias, and editorializing in articles. Go to Google News or Yahoo News or wire services directly. I advise you to read 2 or 3 articles on the same subject. The more articles you find on something, the more some details stand out and the more discrepancies you may find as well some facts that aren’t covered here or there.

But certainly the “man who’s telling me, how white my shirts can be” cannot be trusted to report the evening’s news honestly. It is strictly the daily DNC talking points. Too much collusion in news reporting with The Party. Too much “loyalty” to give you an honest report.

We all know what Dan Rather is. What makes us think that any of the others are any more credible?
