environmentalism is not a minor issue as tougher laws will only raise the price of fuel and raw materials which in turn raises the price of end goods. We could have much more development in this country if it weren’t for green laws.

my two cents- Repulicans are not “against” enviromentalism- we breathe the same air as the rats...we are just not the same environuts the rat wingers are...and I get the same bland BS everytime I debate this point with a rat-winger; since I think man made global warming is a joke it sudden means I am for pollution and against conservation- of course nothing is further from the truth...
I agree with you completely on the hispanic/latino vote...the best way to go about this is get solid, conservative hispanics/latinos running for office on the GOP ticket....
Welcome to FR. You’ve put a lot of thoughts into your first post, so maybe we’ll forgive the vanity, lol.
The trouble with your proposals is that you’re shedding core issues left and right, and only holding on to the social conservative concerns. Don’t get me wrong, social issues are important to me, personally, and to a large segment of the “base,” but nationally, that won’t get very far. It’s tantamount to turning into an Americanized “Christian Democrats.” We have a coalition, of business, of small government advocates, of defense hawks and of religious people. Remove too many of those blocs, and you don’t have the numbers to win national elections.

I would:
1. Be called a RINO.
2. Possibly qualify for a job with the Obama administration.

Those are all irrelevant issues pressed by the democrats and deemed to be critical. So how do you deal with THAT except to FIGHT their stupid allegations?
