Politicians just want to get a government salary. Most couldn’t compete out here.

“Welcome to “Camelot”.”

An Obama Administration isn’t Camelot. It’s Doctor Zhivago.

Within months, there will only be two employees. Then the business will fail.

You sound like you may be a veteran of the 70s debacle. These idiots don't have any idea how fast a door can slam shut behind you.

Obama is reacting to the financial and economic reality facing him when he comes into office.

He’s smart enough to realize that a lot of the goodies he promised are off the table at this point- there is simply not going to be enough money in the budget next year when the effects of this recession really start to hit. The Federal government is going to have to tighten its belt. The tax increase will, hopefully, be pushed back so as to avoid the negative effects of sucking even more private money out of the economy.

Obama may have walked into a perfect storm here- if the economy does get as bad as some people fear, he is going to get the blame as the sitting President. We have to be fair and admit that the President has limited abilities to control the economy, but I doubt the electorate is going to accept that fact.

“I’m even considering changing stylists.”

I saw my hairdresser on Tuesday who emigrated here from Iran ~25 years ago, and was glad to learn that she’s a pro-gun, anti-abortion conservative. She even mentioned that the Second Amendment exists so citizens can defend themselve against the government, and I’d bet there aren’t even many Americans realize that.

Nice, but we really need to pick up on the bumper sticker the dems rolled out in 2001 — “He’s Not My President”.

An Obama Administration isn’t Camelot. It’s Doctor Zhivago.

Who gets thrown from the sliegh first?

You know, I must have sent 30+ conservative Letters to the Editor in the last four years, no sweat. My first one "under Obama" prompted TWO pieces of hate-mail, with one anonymous one. The moonbats are feeling their oats.

And both of them included pages of poorly xeroxed "Bush is so bad", "Bush lied to us about..." stuff. It's funny...I stand up in the square of public opinion, and get shouted down by the forces of "tolerance", using the kind of mind-numbed robot tactics the Left always accuses the Condervatives of using...

Rhetoric won’t fill an empty belly.

The “obama demographic” is also notorious for instant gratification. It may be our ace in the hole.

I hope you're right, but even though rhetoric doesn't fill an empty belly, anger and black liberation speeches might succeed in deflecting anger towards the messiah.

Within months, there will only be two employees.

When money is tight, everybody can go a little longer between haircuts. Lots of people will.

Yes, I am a veteran of the 70’s but as a military member, I was spared from unemployment.

Still, I think what we are facing by winter will be closer to what my parents went through- both children of the Great Depression and raised by their parents who were traumatized and chnaged forever by that experience.

But much of our society is not as tough and resilient as I think American society was in the 1920’s and 1930’s. My Mom’s Dad worked two pittance labor jobs, then came home and hunted squirrels so the family would have meat. Her grandmother basically raised her and taught her to cook, garden and can food. Mend old clothing. And poor as they were, to tend to the sick and less well off.

A lot fewer people in this society have extended family as a safety net, for sure. Many kids in my son’s school don’t even have contact with a father. Just a single mother in poverty. (Obama lovers all of them).

Today they were all talking about how angry they are with Obama for deleting all of his promises from his website and now talking about not giving them all the goodies they wanted from him..
