I think it should be a question though. Why should a team be crowned by the BCS if they can’t even win their own division?

Probably because there's precendent in most other sports...the Super Bowl champ doesn't have to win its division, and several haven't (wild card teams). Ditto for the World Series champion. The NBA champ just has to make the playoffs and get hot for a couple of months. Same (almost) for the NCAA basketball champion; just get an invite to the big dance and get hot for a few weeks.

But what do all those others have in common?

THEY HAVE A FREAKIN' PLAYOFF!!!!!!

Yeah, Lubbock is missing that whole hippy contingent and liberal mindset you have in Austin. We survive though.

I enjoy living in a city where Chili's isn't considered fine dining. It's a beautiful place and a live music lover's dream, although you do have to put up with a few hippies here and there.

I do however love Lubbock's eight lane drive-thru liquor stores just outside the county line. Classy.

They’re short of undefeated by one single lousy point on the road.

Yea, by my Iowa Hawkeyes

Maybe the Coltster can throw a 25yard+ pass before the season is over.

Colt had a 91 yard TD this season already, and amazing stats for the year so far. 32 TD, 7 Int, 77.6% completion rate:

PASSING GP Effic Cmp-Att-Int Pct Yds TD Lng Avg/G

McCoy, Colt 12 179.19 291-375-7 77.6 3445 32 91 287.1

45 - 35 Texas beats OU in Dallas. We beat Missouri too, both of whom will be in the Big 12 championship. Life ain't always fair, but I'd prefer it if we don't make it worse with false data.

Hook-em, Ted

I expected Tech to fall further after barely getting by Baylor in Lubbock yesterday.

Half the team was in street clothes by the fourth quarter. Those Baylor guys play mean.

The two teams playing the best football right now appear to be OU and Florida.

You can thank the Baptists for that strip outside of town - they have blocked all attempts to change that. Fortunately, the Chamber of Commerce finally realized how idiotic it was to send kids all the way out to the strip for booze... they will be voting to hopefully change that, this next May.

We enjoy being around conservatives - glad you enjoy your liberals.

Hey, some of my fondest memories are the dust storms and the smell of feed lots around Lubbock. But a nicer group of people you will never find.

Congrats to OU - and to UT - I really do hope they win their bowl games. Here is a joke we can all enjoy:

'After numerous rounds of 'We don't even know if Osama is still alive', Barrack Hussein Obama has now been telling everyone he will capture Osama Bin Laden when elected.'

So, Osama himself decided to send Barrack Hussein Obama a letter in his own handwriting to let him know he was still in the game.

Obama opened the letter and it contained a single line of coded message:

370H-SSV-0773H

Obama was baffled, so he e-mailed it to Howard Dean.

Dean and the DNC and his aides had no clue either, so they sent it to Joe Biden.

Joe Biden could not solve so it was sent to the FBI and the CIA.

Eventually they asked Sarah Palin to look at it.

And within a minutes Palin e-mailed Obama with this reply: 'Tell Obama he's holding the message upside down'.

Isn’t that the truth?!! I am still extremely proud of this UT team. It has been so much fun watching them!

Graham Harrell should still win the Heisman. Much better passer than McCoy.

Lets notice one other thing

4 NON BCS in the top 12 and three of those are undefeated. Boise really deserves a BCS bowl..
