NO!
It’s a Win-Win situation!
Kangaroo is very succulent. It rivals steak in my opinion. Certainly better than the steak I had Friday night.
I saw a news report recently about some “animal rights” folks whining about the roundup of the feral horses. They approved the sale of these, but were against them disposing of those not sold. Of course, they also were pleading for money to end this.
The adoption program for these is wonderful, and yes, there are many here in the southeast who buy these. We have a lot of public land here, and horseback riding in the national forest is popular.
Many of the “kill no animal” crowd (mostly urban folks with no exposure to nature except TV)do not realize these are NOT native animals. We have the same problem in a national park here with feral hog/wild boars. They destroy native fawna, including food for other wildlife, and are very destructive. Since it is not legal to hunt these in the national park, the park service quietly brings in sharpshooters to control them, and those who think hunting is “cruel” are pacified.
Quote from Judge Dredd Movie.
Re: feral hogs.
I once had an odd conversation with a NWR employee at a refuge along the Lower Colorado. I canoe in this refuge all the time, and started to notice dozens of feral hogs doing exactly what you said -- destroying native fauna and killing nestling shorebirds. So I asked her what is being done to eradicate the hogs. She told me they wanted to do something, but "public opinion" wouldn't accept contract hunters into the refuge to solve the problem.
And by "public opinion" of course, she meant the lefty environmentalists.
It chaps your hide, doesn't it?
“Eat Dredd! He works out!”
Another quote from the movie.
The tissue is 100% tasteless, didn’t you know?
tastes like chicken...
Doesn’t sound Kosher to me.
No, I wouldnt accept it either.
Con-tract Hunt-er [ kon-trakt huhn-ter ] noun:

There are cheaper and more effective methods avilable.
Australia suffers from feral rabbits, feral goats, feral camels, feral cats, mouse and rat problems, and god knows what else imported species. I never knew Kangaroos were a problem, but I understand the Aussies have been eating them for years and that their hides (the kangas, not the Aussies) make superb shoe-leather.
Camel meat, btw, is absolutely delicious. So if the down-under camels are breeding out of control, sure, eat them.
Believe it or not, there are wild camels in the Southwestern United States, having been spotted in the Arizona desert....Due to the Civil War era United States Army Camel Corp....used primarily to support troops in the Southwest from California, delivering supplies across the desert.
I like camels....non filters....
