Musician Chris Llewellyn was among those who sprang into action after a man shoved a flight attendant and tried to open an exit door. Chris Llewellyn was staring out the window of Delta Airlines Flight 110, watching the landscape of Los Angeles rise up toward the plane, when he heard the screams of a male flight attendant: "Help me! Help me!"
Turning quickly, he saw that a passenger had pushed the attendant to the floor and was trying to open the rear emergency exit.
Chris Llewellyn Video: Passengers take down man..."Don't come near me," the man warned. "I have a bomb. I have a bomb."
"I thought this guy was going to open the door. I was thinking, 'I'm not going to go down with the plane,' " said Llewellyn, 26, a 6-foot guitarist, who was flying into Los Angeles from Atlanta on Wednesday morning for a TV appearance with hip-hop artist Asher Roth.
Along with half a dozen other passengers, Llewellyn ran down the aisle into the galley area and jumped on the man, pulling him away from the door.

“”We all jumped him,” the guitarist said. “He was struggling hardcore. I was holding down his arm. Somebody had a foot on his head. Everyone was holding down a different body part. He was going nuts. I was telling him to chill because he’s not going anyplace.”
At that point, the plane was on the ground and a flight attendant had retrieved a restraining kit. From the ground the suspect asked, “What am I being charged with?”
Someone answered, “Assaulting a flight attendant.”
“He flipped out over that,” Llewellyn said. “Then they rolled him over and put the cuffs on him.”
The band was flying to Los Angeles to perform on Carson Daly’s late-night TV show.
Johnson is now being held pending psychological evaluation.”
no air marshal on this flight
Good job!
Do we have a name yet for the perp? I noticed on news last night they avoided naming or even describing the perp.
This is a good example of why we will never suffer another 9/11 style attack using airliners.
Everybody that flies understands what to do, and the consequences of doing nothing.
It is Lawrence Johnson..
God gave Rock and Roll to you, put it in the soul of everyone......
The Los Angeles Police Department identified the man as Lawrence Johnson, 45, of Kentucky. He was booked by airport police on suspicion of making a false bomb threat.
As per previous posts in this area: "sure sounds Amish (or Muslim?) to me" !
British Muslim:)
Probably drunk, a mental case, or both.
..and every case like this happens makes those who wish to do us harm think twice about boarding a plane.
Most Americans learned far too much from 9/11 to let the old “I have a bomb” line worry them. Most of the passengers taking part in wrestling with this nut were probably thinking where they would stick that bomb.
“Probably drunk, a mental case, or both.”
I say lock his sorry ass up for a minimum of 10 years, bread and water, hard labor, as an example to others.
(Not really expecting such logic to work with drunks or mental cases, however)
Or send him to Gitmo. Actually, never mind, prison would be worse..
What about "Terroristic Threat?" He said he had a bomb.
What??? Passengers left their seats during landing? I hope all of them at least left their seat backs in the full upright position.
