Two white deer deemed off-limits to Hanover hunters

When deer hunting season starts Saturday in Hanover, whitetails will be in the hunters' sights, but two white deer named Snowflake and Snowball better not be. Deer culling is a top priority in the Morris County town because the animals destroy plants, carry ticks and cause car accidents, yet the 20 recreational bow hunters lined up for the task have been asked to spare two mostly white deer that have become favorites among township residents.

12 rounds, eh. Looks nasty. Then again, you’re showing the 12” model... by the time you put an 18” (legal) barrel on it, cool looking or not, it seems “no advantage” over my Mossberg combat shotgun (9 rounds in the gun plus 4 in the butt).

The White Stag was an old medieval legend. He gave you wishes if you caught him.

And Kate Seredy wrote a book about the White Stag -- it was seen as the spiritual guide of the Hungarians, I think.

Lots of people might have sound traditional reasons for not shooting one.
