When do they examine Vince Foster?
*sigh* They still want to believe that he was just a peaceful man who was ambushed while traveling.
Our Oetzi was a warrior.
Buried with a copper axe, shield, bow and broken arrows. The rest of his belongings were taken by his fellow warriors and they buried him in a ditch with his shield over him, and then covered him in snow to prevent scavengers from getting to his body.
The wound in his hand wasn’t an accident with a flint knife, it was a battle wound, as were the other injuries.
He was a warrior, and he died a violent death.
He must have died of global warming and of course it was all George Bush’s fault. (sarcasm)
Any charges to be filed? ;-
Was the weapon one of those Assault Bows?
heh,heh
Time to ban flint-tipped arrows. ;~))
Seriously. I'm not much of a bleeding heart, but they have studied this poor guy up one side and down the other, and they still have him on display in some museum somewhere.
IMHO, we have learned all we can and it's time to give him a proper burial and let him rest in peace. I feel the same about all the old Egyptian and Inca mummies collecting dust in museums around the world. Yes, they may have had something to tell us, but it reaches a point where they simply become a Ripleys kind of spectacle.
Even though they are ancient, they were once living, breathing, intelligent humans and one of God's special creations. Their remains deserve to be treated with the kind of dignity we would accord to the recently departed and not as some curiosity or tourist attraction.
Just my humble opinion.
John Conyers is planning to prosecute President Bush over this (more war crimes).
Oh no, not The Iceman!
At first I thought you were talking about Richard Kuklinski.
What is pretty interesting is our 2nd Amnedment came from those parts. The Framers modeled it after Switzerland - see William Tell etc. The Swiss has been able to own weapons since at least Tell’s time around 1307 AD.

Our snow warrior also buried not very far from the Beretta HQ. Beretta has been in existence since 1526 AD or 483 years! Their logo has arrows in it.

Hopefully SCOTUS will stand up for the Constitution before the usurper destroys it.
Fighting another man or tribe, and cut his hand while stabbing another?
thank you SunkenCiv! my husband and i have been following the tale of Oetzi since they discovered him. it’s almost like he’s an old friend. lol very old friend. :-|
Thanx for the update.More anwsers to the mystery.”He only lived a short time after the arrow impact.”Add the gash to the hand + headwound...probably spent his last few hours of life in a great deal of pain.Recall from anthropology class the average lifespan back then(according to instructor and textbook)was mid-twenties to early thirties.Apparently this man had lived a(comparatively)long life.
Not a slingshot, but a sling. Like the one that David used on Goliath. I have made several slings recently for my boys and me and we have had lots of fun. You can sling big stones a long way.
