The post also include a review of the immortal "Torcy Blane in Chinatown."

The little promo at the end tweaked my memory with the name Jay C. Flippen. I just knew I had seen that name before so I checked at imdb.com. Sure enough, he appeared on a whole bunch of television shows in the 50's and 60's.

When I first read the title to this I thought, Oh No, their going to redo and ruin another classic. Then I realized it was a 1939 story.

For the Torchy Blane fans, TCM has a whole handful of the Torchy movies coming up.

I was not familiar with Idiot’s Delight when I came across the review. It sounds like a good movie. Too bad Netflix doesn’t offer it. I like to watch the movies around the time I post the reviews.

They are showing this one April 14 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, I presume.

When it comes to classic hard to find movies I put Netflix to shame. Its kind of a hobby of mine, buying or recording good classic movies that you just cant find on your video store shelves. And I have found some real gems that few alive today even know about. Comedies are my favorite. Then once I have the movie recorded on to a DVD, the real fun begins finding cover art for it which may be from the original poster or lobby card. I have a room in the house devoted to my movie library.

And since it's Friday night it's time for another installment of Orson Wells and the Campbell's Playhouse.

Tonight we have Arrowsmith.
