The state chit-chat new messages just started showing up again on my pings page... and I can't figure out how to get rid of it/them.
There's a link that says it's removing me from these notifications... but it doesn't.... they're still there!
Oh good. I love it when things work like they’re supposed too. :)
So, none of you are interested in local participation?
Nothing *wrong* with local participation, but it’s mostly just chit-chat on our state board (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and it seems less like local news and more like I’m having someone else’s conversation appear randomly on my screen.

Go here:

And move your “Locale Message” block to one of your sidebars. I put mine at the top left where it’s unobtrusive, yet I can keep an eye on it.
AH - that’s an interesting idea too... thank you!
Our board has been fairly inactive. We have only met as a group probably four times. But, I’m always interested in what is posted because it usually has something to do with local politics....something we might be able to influence.
Recently, because of the national events, we have started discussing local small group meetings first and proceed from there.
Any discussion on your board for starting some get togethers to address national issues?
They might discuss that sometimes, but it’s mostly “what’s up, what did you do over the weekend?” kind of stuff ;~)
