Retiring early...then going back to work
Rolling the dice and opening a new business
Refusing government money.
Making my little business profitable.

You’re not the one responsible. You’re actually hiring people. The ones who worked to ship out our manufacturing sector are a different story, however.

You forgot about the part where the American individual is involved in the government to the extent of watchdogging it to preserve everyone’s rights. Going to public meetings with the local government as a civic duty and making sure his employees don’t work 60 to 80 hours a week so they can do their civic duties too.
That is an American individual at his best.

Me too. I started mine in 1770 with only one employee.... ME. 38 years later there are 35 people working there. But I just hocked my home to put more cash in to get thru this. Our business is good but the cash made a small cushion.. Got my comeupance when I found my 4 year old custom built home has lost 25% in its worth.
I am guilty of not taking my share of the stimushit package.
