There lays the problem with Maine, they stopped reading the thing and just forgot where they put it. I know the Governor of Maine wouldn't recognize Declaration of Independence if it bit him on the backside.

Most likely it is a typset version. Many thousands were printed at that time and distributed widely. Still and all very rare if authentic!
