Durocher has outlined a terrific schedule for his men. Only one workout a day, but that will be from 10:30 A. M. until 2:30 P. M., opening with the calisthenics and winding up in all kinds of baseball.
All righty then.
Durocher, my father’s favorite manager. I see nothing wrong with that statement. All kinds of baseball can be interpreted as practicing situations, cut offs, bunt defense, and lots of other things. All often happening at the same time, all kinds of baseball.
I guess it is not slipshod reporting after all. I remember Leo Durocher was still coaching for the Dodgers when I first became a fan as a kid. Back in the days of Koufax and Drysdale, Maury Wills and Jim Gilliam. Oh, and Tommy and Willie Davis in the outfield. There was also a slugger in the OF but his name escapes me. I played first base in Little League so Ron Fairly was my obligatory role model. I thought of Vin Scully as a sort of uncle until I was in Junior High School. And I mustn't leave out John Roseboro behind the plate.
Honestly I dont even understand that sentence. Don’t hate me guys but I don’t follow baseball at all. The sports I follow are Football, racing, and gymnastics which the later I can say I’m a proud papa whose daughter won the Bar Championship at State today. :)
Might that slugger's name be Frank Howard?
Right you are! My list would also be incomplete without the skipper, Walter Alston.
I wouldn't hate you even if I hadn't given up on baseball long ago. I couln't tell you who is the current manager of the Dodgers or name one player. My fandom these days is limited to a half-hearted interest in the Forty-niners. My interest there only goes back to the Montana-to-Rice days. As a kid in L.A. I had no interest in the Rams at all.
Congratulations to Miss Cougar on her feat! Is that in high school competition? What kind of bar is that. In my younger days I did pretty well in bar competition myself. Mostly at Moe's.
Lol. Little miss is still on cloud 9 this today. She’s a level 4 gymnast and a pretty savy 3rd grader.
