Just for your information, I love split pea soup! And BLT’s are one of my favorite sammies! Let me be truthful, there isn’t much that I don’t like! My hubby was the same. I have always said “I had the easiest husband to please, when it came to food.” If I had a special meal, he loved it, and if I had nothing special, it didn’t matter to him! He would have a compliment. It made cooking a pleasure.

Yes, Meg, good idea! We all had such a good time yesterday! I got tickled when Wayzata Johnn said he could lick the screen when he saw the BBQ sandwich Yorkie posted! It was wonderful and I have some for lunch today!

I hope you had a good weekend. :) There were 3 does at the bird feeder this morning. I love them and but dislike them eating the plants. They look so sweet!

Good Morning to you, GeeBee. I understand about the deer. None of us would want them to eat our plants. I don’t have that problem here but they are all around where my son’s live.
I got the cutest little email yesterday titled “Do Deer Play?”
It is short but its one you can’t post. It shows a young deer eating in someone’s yard and a little poodle starts barking (friendly) and the deer keeps eating and then he starts frisking with the dog and they were chasing each other, just like two dogs would. It was so sweet! It proved that deer do play!

Jaycee, that is the way we are here. There really isn't anything that I don't like, nor hubby either.

This is a wonderful place to come get started on our day!
Mine is going to be a busy one , as usual.

If the deer get to be a problem, try dusting the plants you want left uneaten with cayenne pepper (sort of heavily) and they will soon pick ‘kinder’ forage. Fun to do to bird seed, (birds don’t even notice) You will see squirrels quit eating right away (Unless you get the two illegal squirrels at our feeder last year who must have been from Juarez, because they cleaned out the bird feeder, pepper and all! (Must have thought it was taco night I guess)

He truly was a sweetheart. When Spring enters, its a bit sad, as we loved to sit together on the patio and he fed the squirrels from his hand. Just simple things gave us pleasure!
He was on dialysis for the last couple of years of his life and it was a terrible thing to go through. One thing eases my mind is that I know there is no dialysis in Heaven.

And day after tomorrow is my precious Daddy’s birthday. If I can find a picture of him or of he and I, I may post one. Happy Birthday Daddy in Heaven! He wanted me to be born on his birthday but I waited till the next day and he always said I was stubborn before I was born....LOL!

That sounds like a fun email! They are so sweet. I feel bad. I think they are so hungry this brutal winter year. They even ate deer resistant plants. I hope my plants recover. I can’t find it in myself to chase them off.

You are so sweet knowing they are eating your plants and yet don’t have the heart to run them off. As long as you don’t hurt them, I guess it would be fine to just shooo them away!
Of course, they would come back....~~big smile~~!
