Now that sounds mighty delicious, Meg! On that 15 bean soup package directions, does it give instructions for the way you are making it? I may like to try that one!

Instead of sending bouquets to each of you, today, I am sending you wildflowers from Arizona.
Pick all you want - they will be beautiful filling a vase on your diningroom table, this afternoon.
To: Kitty Mittens

To dream, to in rest and chance upon a moment exquisite
a moment crafted and eternally set and celestial lit
Oh the measure of a dream in not in it burnished delights
but in the freedom to engage in such a far reaching sight
God’s gift to us the inner place to live our dreams anew
and find our lives enriched by each new dream we do

It does have instructions and the recipe...It calls for ham hocks or smoked sausage. I subbed the ham bone with meat on it.It has a ham seasoning package to add at the end..I doubt I will need it..I have chunks of ham coming off the bone now..I will adjust seasonings carefully lest I overdo it.

Yummmm-O!
Sounds better than barbeque, almost!
But I am going to try your recipe and invite the kids to share and I’m sure they will like that!

Thanks, it just feels like a lovely morning, needed something nice.
I read an interesting letter from a friend from the service and he pointed out something worth remembering,
“Today we throw the dice and see what fate brings us
Today we venture forth and dare to try, even in our fear
Today we’ll be tested, and we will win for we’ve tried
and we will take tomorrow as God gives it to us”
This was from a hand lettered sign on our Hooch in Nam. A guy from Louisiana (son of a evangelist preacher) had put it there as a reminder to himself and we came to keep that as a reminder for ourselves. Take the day and make it yours! Try, and you’ve done all you can to win.
And remember that God is always there beside you.
That small lesson from 40 years ago still is worth sharing.
