Seasons And Reasons
The scent of summer floats upon a warming air
and birds finally sing so free without a care
The snow recedes and brown grass shows its skirt
and the earth begins to renew from winter’s hurt
We await the first flower, the greening grass
the call of the whippoorwill to float softly pass
The ripple of a breeze to make waves in the reeds
and the Heron’s silent stalk among the watered weeds
Nature considers changing her ermine gown for green
Father Time feels frisky, and all that that might mean
Life’s song is upon the wind, listen and rejoice again
for now its time to find a new benning as this winter ends

Sorry, posted the Rough!
Here is the final, (getting old!)
Seasons And Reasons

Lifes song is upon the wind, listen and rejoice again
for now its time to find a new beginning as this winter ends
