Question? Was Jesus a “prophet”? Was Paul a “prophet”? I just think it is wise to be careful about calling someone’s convictions about the future prophecy. It seems to me that God in His mercy allows people who take time to listen to Him, to be given direction for their good in a difficult time ahead.
God works in patterns and the Old Testament is filled with stories of those whom God used to speak about future judgements not only to warn those being judged, but also to give comfort to those who would see it come to pass.
I am finding something different in Pastor Wilkerson.
“Joe Biden said something bad would happen within the first 6 months of 0bama’s admin.”
It did... on January 20, 2009

Meant to post the sermon to all, not just to you. Thanks.
Food for thought: I have been a subscriber to Rev. Wilkerson’s newsletter/sermon series for many years now.
He has never changed his message through all these years. His message has been one of putting our trust in God, also one of living a righteous life, and finding a way to encourage each other in the Lord. He has always been one to speak his mind about current events and how they should be responded to.
He is an older man, a man who has walked the walk and I grant him the privilege of speaking to many about what he feels we might need to know. In every message he tries to convey a message of hope and that in Christ. We need more pastors who speak the truth in love.
“Rev Wilkerson is warning about riots in the streets of major cities throughout the country and also that the entire NYC area would be engulfed in riots and burning.”.................................................................................................
A very real possibility when the Supreme Court removes Barry from office for being inelegible due to the Constitutional requirement about Natural Born citizinship.
His preaching in the sermon linked above about the preaching of a a half gospel by many in our pulpits today certainly hits home.
Yep. He would not be considered to be among those who press for the “feel good sermon” crowd or as some like to call it-”the seeker sensitive crowd”. I must say this: if our country faces a time as difficult as what Rev. Wilkerson says we may face, then I think there are going to be some very upset folks out there. Plenty of people pack out mega size churches to be entertained nearly every Sunday. Yet, if they hear one ounce of a sermon with some conviction about it, they yelp and find something new to tickle their itching ears. When push comes to shove though—will that kind of entertainment gospel make the difference between trusting God through a trial or not?
Our example is Israel. They left Egypt rich and whole, yet just a couple days in a desert without a visible water source and they were ready to head back to bondage.

Amen brother.

Noah had to endure a lot of joking, sneering & disbelief, no doubt, as he continued to build the ark.
I thought God quit doing that stuff after the New Covenant was a done deal.
All I ask is for some accountability.
I like David Wilkerson. The Cross and the Switchblade is one of my all time favorite books. But if this does not happen, the man is a false prophet and needs to be held to account. Its one think to say I fear such and such is going ot happen. Its another to say that the Holy Spirit is saying it. A man can make a wrong prediction. God doesnt. If a man speaks saying that the Lord said something that doesnt come to pass, that is false prophecy and taking the Lord’s name in vain. It bothers me that he put no time frame on this event. Imminent is a relative term. At what point do we decide this isn’t happening?
Personally I have some problems with this. Why of all places would America be under God’s wrath? We still do more good, send more missionaries to more parts of the world than anyone. We still have more Christians than anywhere. I just find it hard to believe that God would dispense this harsh punishment on America, and yet allow athiest states such as China, or states who actively persecute christians, such as muslim nations, to go free.
You are correct. Noah put up with a lot, but the flood proved Noah right. All too often the word “prophecy” gets thrown around by American Churches. Lets give it the respect it deserves. Thus sayeth the Lord is a heavy event. If Mr. Wilkerson was truly told this by the Lord, then so be it. But if not, we need to disregard him and the things he says.
..How can you say 'why would America be under God's wrath'?
I say, Why would America not be under God's wrath???
Whether Wilkerson is a prophet is one thing....
..but it's hideously clear America is far from her Judeo/Christian roots....far far from it.
The debauchery in our media fully open for youngsters to see & experience, the absolute hatred of anything Christian or referencing Christ...
..the total destruction of 54 million lives to man's idol, abortion.
How indeed can we doubt judgment is at hand???
Whether He will have mercy is entirely in His hands, but I know many who are crying out for justice.
You misunderstand what I mean. I mean, why America as opposed to anywhere else.
Why not the Netherlands, where not only abortion is legal, but euthinasia and in some cases, infanticide as well? Or Iran, Syria or any other Arab nation who behead those who dare not worship their false god. Or maybe China, which as murdered untold millions of Christians, disabled and other obsticles of “progress”.
The debauchery in our media is not a good thing. I certainly agree. But it is nothing compared to Europe, where porn is openly sold on the streets. Why are they not first on the hit list.
It seems, by the logic you are using, that God would punish us for starting at a high point and decending to a lower moral point, while ignoring other nations that are far worse.
Why would America not be under God’s wrath? We still do more to evangelize the rest of the world than any other nation. We still have more Christians than anywhere. We still do more to fit James’ definition of “true religion” by caring for the fatherless and widows worldwide than any other nation on earth.
Instead we've practically sold our birthright to the highest bidder.
We are not the Judeo/Christian nation of old....our foundation is crumbling....
We, as a nation, are post Judeo/Christian....we are barely hanging on to the shreds.
Why us and not them (Europe, Middle East, etc.)
Because this country was established on religious freedom/liberty and has fallen far...
..Because we have corporately murdered 54 million babies ...
..Because God is daily ridiculed or banished from public discourse....
..and schools, marketplace, work, etc.
