“There’s very little downside to anticipating the worst, as long as you don’t quit your job, sell everything you own, and stand in the park waiting for the Zot. It’s like stocking up for winter storms that don’t happen - you haven’t really lost anything.”

I am with you on this.

I actually have a paperback copy of that book and have kept it for the last 17 years. I read it awhile ago, but I will pull it out again.

Wilkerson doesn’t pass the test of Deuteronomy 18:21.

Is he also selling holy cloths and if you call now he’ll throw in a plastic Jesus to put up on the dash board of your car right next to the fuzzy dice?

"Anyone who claims to receive direct intelligence from God or the Holy Spirit is dead wrong. It is the age-old method of false prophets everywhere. While I can’t cite a specific book, chapter and verse from memory, the Gospel claims for itself that the full truth for all time has been delivered to us. Want to hear from God? — read the Bible."

You need to back that one up with chapter and verse. It's true that God's plan of salvation has been fully delivered. But that doesn't mean that all prophecy has ceased for all time. The bible says that during the last days that people will prophesy and have dreams and visions. Also during the great tribulation Israel has two authentic prophets.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Rev 11:3 And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. Rev 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies [shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Rev 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. Rev 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

Nostradamus was almost sure about the destruction of New York. He wrote in (VI-97) “The sky will appear to burn from the 45th parallel and the fire will approach the great city”.

I have the same feeling every morning when I wake up and reality hits about obama’s catastrophic affect on our Country. I guess you could call my reaction a prophecy.

I think we must take to heart the words that Jesus gave us about the time before the end. He described a world full of difficulties. He told of wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines. He said these things were only the beginning. He also told us to pay attention to the lesson of the fig tree. His intent: if you see the signs pay attention! We may be living at that time of paying attention.

their attention should be placed upon last centuries great Kenyan Prophet, Johanwa Owalo, the founder of Kenya’s Nomiya Luo Church, and who among the Kenya people of the Luo religion is believed to be a prophet similar to Jesus Christ and Muhammad, and who in 1912 made this horrific prophecy about the United States: “So far have they [the United States] strayed into wickedness in those [future] times that their destruction has been sealed by my [father]. Their great cities will burn, their crops and cattle will suffer disease and death, their children will perish from diseases never seen upon this Earth, and I reveal to you the greatest [mystery] of all as I have been allowed to see that their [the United States] destruction will come about through the vengeful hands of one of our very own sons.”

rw>Dec. 2012 is coming. I have had a morbid fascination with that date since several ancient societies predict something big to happen then, exactly what is a bit unclear.

What will happen is that the Mayan calendar will roll over to the next long cycle

Something very terrible is goning to happen to the Mayans on Dec 2012.

;-)

“We freaked out at the gas shortage last year....”We’re completely unprepared a disaster.I live in the Tampa Bay area.Tried to explain to a coworker why a natural disaster such as a major hurricane(150mph+ winds)would likely cause more deaths after the fact. Not just flooding, power outages, etc. What about food and clean water? Most people are completely unaware of the logistics involved in supplying food for 3mill+ people.I think most sheeple are under the impression that necessities like food, water, and gasoline simply “magically” appear.

“Even so, I am reminded of a scripture in Habakkuk 3:2. It really is a prayer, asking God to remember love, pity and mercy in His wrath. We should be praying such words for our nation. Who knows, maybe God will turn from His wrath and let people have another chance to turn to Him again?”

I agree. I’m not content to just let disaster happen if God can be appealed to for grace, mercy and restraint. May not be the Reverend’s prophesy, but when we give so much money to an enemy of Israel...that’s trouble coming. Stupid Obama.

Aim not worried but it is quite a fantasy.Take out new England and then see New York go up in smoke and fire. Also we would lose the networks and the NY Times, time, news week etc. I would just hope Rupert Murdoch is out of town. then maybe we could have an earth quake take out San fan and Los Angeles. We would have a new country wouldn’t we? The demos would lose most of the their money bags and just think what we could pick up in redistricting. wow! Of course I don’t really hope that that happens, however.
