In case you can’t read the fine print:

LOVE AFFAIR, from a story by Mildred Cram and Leo McCarey; screen play by Delmer Daves and Donald Ogden Stewart; music and lyrics by B. G. DeRyva (or something like that-Homer), Harold Arlen and Ted Koehler; directed and produced by Mr. McCarey; for RKO Radio. At the Radio City Music Hall.

Terry Mackay………………………Irene Dunne
Michel Marnay…………………..…Charles Boyer
Mme. Marnay.…….…………..........Maria Ouspenskaya
Kenneth…... ………………………..Lee Bowman
Lois…………….…….……………..Astrid Allwyn
Cobert……...………….....................Maurice Moskovitch

I just watched this for the first time. I have seen the remake, An Affair to Remember, starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, several times. There are no substantial differences between the two versions. I must say that Charles Boyer is more believable in the role of Michel Marnay than Grant. Especially the part of having a grandmother living on a French island.

Yeah! The Campbell Playhouse (formerly Mercury Theatre) site is back up. Here is the offering which we missed last week.

The Glass Key

And tonight we have a real treat with Beau Geste. Enjoy.
