I sure hope this doesn't mean what I think it does: Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell has been cast in ABC's eagerly anticipated V pilot.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking -- that this confirms Juliet as the major character who gets bumped off at this season's end? Yeah, I kinda thought you might be with me on that one.
However, my moles at ABC and Warner Bros. (which is producing V) say we need to chill, because Mitchell is just a guest star on V. But, however much I may want to chill, that's pretty hard to do, since everyone told me the same thing when tailie Cynthia Watros booked a pilot (and two months later, Libby was pushing up daisies).
So what do you think? Am I making much ado about nothing? Or is Juliet a goner? And in either case, how much cooler a project is V now that Mitchell's attached? I'm thinking "way." Your take below...
V? No original ideas at all it seems.
I am so disappointed that Famke Janssen turned down the lead role to star in a stupid dramedy on SHO about lesbians in prison. Come on!
Is that Pynchon’s “V” or TV version of V for Vendetta?
After Famke Jansen as a transexual on Nip/Tuck can’t look at her the same.
Her role in Nip/Tuck was pretty awesome. I think she’s a great actress but turning down a sure sci-fi hit for a bomb spin off of the L Word? Wow.
Neither... this V is the lizard nazis from space who want our water and to eat us. :)
Damn them. First Ana-Lucia and now her. No more eye candy. Kate needs to eat a sandwich.
sorry, but I really really really don’t think that a V series will take off or last any longer than 4 episodes on one of the networks.
it was a good idea for it’s time (1983) but aside from the nostalgic viewers, it certainly won’t go over well.
btw - i own the dvds of V so don’t think i’m a hater.
It makes sense. Sawyer can make a clean break from his house play without looking like too much an a-hole, then go back to Kate... yeah, Lost has always been a boys club show... the list of dead women is very long.
So, it’s a remake of the old TV series?
I remember the actress who played the lead lizard/woman was pretty hot, do you remember her name?
I had no idea, now I’m disappointed too.
The human resistance will have to be re-educated to rid them of their irrational Reptilophobia.
The timing on this is . . . interesting . . . to say the least.
yep...the name does ring a bell...so to speak
I'm sure they'll "reimagine" it for the leftist post-9/11 world like the new Battlestar Galactica, turning the lizards into misunderstood or good guys and making humans the bad guys.
I never liked Juliet anyway; she always seemed shifty to me, and couldn’t be trusted.
