Marx sets down the ten steps that should be taken by the government upon establishing a Communist/Socialist government/economic nation.
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
Not yet.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
The tax code is the single most destructive weapon that the socialists possess. This is how they implement their policies. Obama has already taken a dramatic shift to the left with tax policy. Bush tax cuts, gone. Home mortgage deduction, reduced. Charitable giving deduction, reduced. Tax burden on the top bracket, enormously increased. Tax burden on all lower brackets, the same...for now.
The only way to defeat leftists once and for all is the complete abolition of the federal income tax and to a lesser extent state income taxes. A consumption tax is the only fair way to tax, and the effects can be seen everyday. The government would be unable to grow or enact useless programs without increasing the consumption tax, which of course they would be unable to do without severe retribution from the electorate. The day the federal government tries to put a 30% consumption tax on goods is the day people really do show up with pitch forks at the White House door.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
Not yet. It was ruled unconstitutional and does not face serious threat as long as the current Supreme Court stays in tact, and the supreme court altogether is not abolished.
The Supreme Court is a major obstacle to many of Obama's goals and only an abolition of the court will allow him to achieve these goals.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
The opposite actually. Illegal immigrants are welcomed with open arms. Don't know how to reconcile this.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
Pretty much. Check.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
Not yet.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state; the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
Global warming/Green jobs...is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the private sector. This is where we're going.
8. Equal obligation of all to work (different from Capitalism in which you have two choices: work and get money, or don't work and die). Establishment of industrial armies, especially to agriculture.
Look at the mob rule in light of the AIG bonuses. This is just the first of many Obama industrial armies.
The use of the tax code will eventually create a de facto equal obligation of all to work whether or not it is actually mandated. The abolition of inheritance rights would play a similar role.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.
This may not apply much to the current day where the country is already so interconnected. But Green jobs is how the left can integrate their kind with our kind more easily by moving the city constituency outward to where green jobs would be located.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, etc.
The left is pushing for free education for illegal aliens.
So 2,5,7,8, and 10, half of Marx's objectives, are already partially in place and nearing the ultimate goal of a socialist utopian state. From this I contend that we are no longer a capitalist nation. We are a nation in limbo, and I argue one cannot remain in limbo forever. Thus we either go all out for socialism, or leadership from great capitalist leaders saves us from a horrible demise. The global currency would be the death of the USA. The protests to a global currency must go far beyond any protest we have seen in these 2 short months of hell.
Most of this is innate knowledge for us, but it's interesting to see how close we are coming to Marxist ideals.
3. Abolition to all rights of inheritance.
With the “Death tax” set to go up again in 2011 to 55%,
and the Marxists in control,expect it to go to 60%-70%.
Believe me,they want more,and their going to get it.
Notice they are going from bottom up thinking noone will notice...morons.

I think that means that anybody who leaves the country to escape an oppressive political system (don’t know where we could go, but anyway) would forfeit all property, money, whatever. And, of course, when all the rest of us are taken to one of the camps, our property, money, etc., will be taken by the state.

Ok that makes sense. I confused myself on the confiscation of emigrants’ property.
In my “Wills, Trust & Estates” class at my law school I was surprised how many people favored a return to the state of all property after death to better serve “society” rather than the “trust fund kids.” I think you’re right that Obama will use the estate tax as a way to abolish inheritance if he gets his way. This is also part of the reason why they want to force Switzerland to give up the names of American account holders.
Obama is on his way to becoming dictator of the world. How interesting that he may not even have to fire a shot. I guess he did learn something in his past life as der fuhrer.
