Cheyenne, Dakota and Tahoe
One of the top-rated Search and Rescue (SAR) dogs is Dakota, an American Pit Bull Terrier. Dakota is owned by Kris Crawford, who has 2 other pit bulls that are also certified SAR dogs!
Dakota is so good at what she does, NASA handpicked Kris and Dakota to assist in the recovery of the Astronauts after the tragic 2003 shuttle disaster. Kris and Dakota were also involved in the Laci Peterson investigation.
Kris and her team have been involved in many cases and have made national news on several occasions. Cheyenne, Dakota and Tahoe are also certified hospital therapy dogs. They can often be seen at pet fairs, shows, schools, etc. It is important to Kris to have the girls out educating the public about the true spirit of the Pit Bull and teaching children canine safety.
Animal Planet recently aired a Pet Story edition on Kris Crawford as did National Geographics Dogs with Jobs. You can learn more about Kris, Cheyenne, Dakota and Tahoe at www.forpitssake.org

Pit Bull heroes ping!!
RDO request...
Pit Bull comes in my yard....Pit Bull doesn’t leave.
*ping*
“Cheyenne, Dakota and Tahoe...”
You might be a redneck if you name your dogs after pickup trucks.
If people move into my area with pit bulls, those people will be moving again soon.
I hate these dogs, they suck.
Workin’ on it...;0)
Fer sure!
How many children have pit bulls killed?
What crimes were broken during the breeding of the American Pitbull Terrier? Wonder why the British named it the AMERICAN Pitbull Terrier? You’d think an informed guy like you would know a fun fact like that.
I guess nothing can be American, since everyone here, if taken back far enough, originated elsewhere. Is that your contention? Who knew?
I noticed that all the rescued named in the post were delivered dead on arrival. Or were they? Could these vicious killers have been the cause of death? Was the cause of death suspiciously identical to canine devourment disease? Think twice people. Don’t be a “rescue victim” of this trio of death angels. These ain’t no Saint Bernard.
How many? None. They were all “rescued” til they ran out of blood.
(Make an aggressive move at my American Staffordshire Terrier and the Miniature Poodle will eat your lunch, the Staf would probably think you were just too "challenged" to know how to play nice.)
But you really should read the "Beware of Owner" sign before taking any action.
I have been told, repeatedly, that...
Wait!
WHAT ?!
Good doggies ;)
You know what’s really hilarious? They want to ban dogs ‘for the children...’ Yet there are actually places operating at this moment whose entire purpose is to kill unborn children...and they waste their dog hatred on the internet, all in the name of children, of course. They’re so fired up that they want to eliminate the relatively small risk of dog attack to children (ever looked at how many people are killed by horses/livestock? Stay in your neighborhoods, its death out here), meanwhile the places that pump out 3-4 THOUSAND dead babies each day continue unabated. What a sick joke...
