Hum, might just have to bring a 6 pack of Moose Drool just for effect.

I would have thought so, too, but Sam’s Club was selling it during the past year.

Though I am a big CNdP fan, I did not buy it at Sam’s because I assumes it’s usually red for a good - and time tested - reason and that Sam’s had bought it cheap because no one else really wanted it.

It’s LOOONG been that way in Allegheny County (Pittsburgh), PA.

Restaurants have to pay through the nose for a beer/liquor license, so many don’t have one. Customers are free to bring their own hootch, though (which in turn can only be purchased at special “State Stores”).

The white is wonderful! Seriously, at Sams? If you see it again, get it. The white is rare and really good!

When I lived near Sonoma-Napa, I used to bring food with me to the wineries.

Also, in PA, due to taxes upon taxes upon taxes, restaurant wine is way more expensive than state store prices might hint.

Adding the recent 10% Allegheny county tax on top doesn’t help either.
