What a foolish man indeed. He had steak at home but ordered a skanky little hamburger instead. Does he really think this woman (who is probably close to the age of his older kids) will stick around and really loves him for who is is rather than what he is?
Without knowing the full details of this marriage, I agree that Mel has been very foolish. Sounds like his wife served their marriage with a glad and open heart, only to have her husband rip her heart out by running off with another person. She is probably borderline 50 in age, has had 7 children and has not worked in 28 years (although having 7 children is by far WORK). Does she deserve half? You bet, but somehow I don’t think that will make her feel any better. I hope they both can come to some sort of forgiveness as any marriage break-up is a terrible tragedy.
