Dayton, OH (AHN) - Employees of a Dayton, Ohio store say a man stole several articles of clothing on Tuesday and then filled out a job application before leaving.
Police arrested Stanley A. Wright, 49, on misdemeanor theft charges after workers at Deveroes said he stole T-shirts and pants, the Dayton Daily News reported.
Wright stuffed the stolen items under his shirt and in the waistline of his pants before he made his way to the checkout counter to fill out a job application.
As he left the store, the alarm went off. A manager discovered about $400 in apparel was missing.
Police were quick to find the thief, as he wrote his actual address on the job application. Police arrested him there where he was found ironing a pair of the jeans he's accused of stealing, local TV news NBC4 reported.
He is currently in the Montgomery County Jail on a $1,000 bond, waiting for a court date.
Ain't nothin' sexier than a man who knows his way around a laundry room! :)
Well, ya know it’s easier to steal the clothing when you work there.
LOL! My boss used to work for Marshall Field’s. She’ll enjoy this as she has loads of stories to tell about shoplifters...customers and employees alike.
We have a fair amount of theft from our Garden Center. A Garden Center? You really can’t plunk down $2 for a package of seeds? We’ve had some interesting escapades there over the years, too...it’s simply amazing what people will shove down their pants, LOL!
..musta lost his job at Hair Club for Men
A guy goes to a doctor’s office to get a vasectomy. He shows up in a limo wearing a tuxedo. When it’s his turn, the doctor looks at him and says,” I’ve seen a lot of things, but I’ve never seen a guy coming in all dressed up like that!”
And the guy says, “ Well, if I’m gonna be im-po-tent, I’m gonna look im-po-tent!”
My Dad told me that one ages ago; and whenever he’s dressed up for a wedding or some other social even, I take him aside and say, “You sure look im-po-tent today!” LOL!
He’s a model employee. Very detailed in what he wants and how to achieve his objectives in life: get a job by applying for it. (sarc/)
