Dolphins Stadium has been renamed Landshark Stadium, at least temporarily.
The renaming is the result of a new partnership between Stephen M. Ross, Dolphins owner, and recording artist Jimmy Buffetts Margaritaville Enterprises.
Landshark Lager is an Anheuser-Busch brand licensed under Buffetts umbrella Margaritaville brand. As reported previously by the Business Journal, sources close to the deal have said Buffett will help pay for the deal by playing shows at the stadium at little or no cost. No further details of the partnership were available.
Buffett helped unveil the new stadium name and logo Friday with a brief performance for the media and a select group of Dolphin fans and Parrot Heads his fan club on the 200 level of the stadium.

Not a bad name... better than “Preparation H Stadium”..
You ever get a chance, go to a Buffett concert. Lots of fun, laid back people. Far cry from being chewed out to vote for some cause or politician by the performer.
Every time I see an article about “Buffett” hooking up with the Dolphins, I have to remind myself it’s JIMMY Buffet, not Warren Buffet.
Jimmy Buffett, cool.
Warren Buffett, Bambi’s own personal butt-leech. Ecch.
