The Reveal
The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. —Isaiah 40:5

The room was a wreck. Mismatched furniture. Faded paint. Ugly light fixtures. Knick-knacks crammed into crowded spaces. The homeowners tried to make some improvements, but the room kept getting worse.

Thus begins a home-improvement TV program. After interviewing the owners, the designer draws a plan to maximize the room’s potential. Program producers create suspense by building up to a moment referred to as “the reveal.” Viewers watch the progress and ooh and aah with the homeowners when they see the new room.

Over time, the world has become like a neglected room. People bring in things that don’t belong. They arrange priorities in ways that hinder potential. Lives become dull, overcrowded, and ineffective. Self-improvement projects offer little help.

The Bible is God’s plan that shows the best way to live. God builds suspense throughout the Old Testament. Then, at the appointed time, comes the great reveal—Jesus! Upon seeing Him, Simeon exclaimed, “My eyes have seen Your salvation . . . , a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel” (Luke 2:30-32).

We become part of God’s great “reveal” when we follow His design and Christ’s example.

O send Thy Spirit, Lord, now unto me
That He may touch my eyes and make me see;
Show me the truth concealed within Thy Word,
And in Thy Book revealed I see Thee, Lord. —Lathbury

All that I am I owe to Jesus Christ, revealed to me in His divine Book.

Happy July everyone. Where does the time go????

All's well here. Giz has shown remarkable improvement. Still walks with a "gimp" but the back legs have improved to the point that he follows us everywhere. Can no longer "sit up" to beg for treats so instead he "howls" and stares at us until we give in.

SusieQ is well...Susie. 2 speeds, hyper or crashed.

We've been busy with jobs and yard work (and trying to ignore the political climate...very scarry)

((((hugs)))) all around

Such a sweet picture and cutesy little poem this morning. Sure do wish I felt sweet and cutesy! Been on phone with all sorts of insurance people and that is what absolutely drives me crazy! Sometimes I feel like my whole body is shaking. It will get better, I hope. I may not be on much today as I have to take care of several things. See ya’ll when I can!

The Treasure

I kiss her cheek and smile soft
her spirit brightens so to loft
and in the moment both understand
that for all time nothing is banned

The grace of youth becomes a tale told
and her eyes reflect the joy grown old
I treasure her for the gift she has been
and hope I become the same now and then

Good Morning one and all!!!!!!!!!!
Happy July

I always wanted to retire in MO. Such a beautiful state. I had (in my mind) a house up on a little hill, surrounded by weeping willow trees, flowers, grass, picnic tables, all leading down to the little dock on a quiet lake.

I can actually ‘see’ it, if I close my eyes.............

Is it July? I can't tell. It has pretty much looked the same since last September except that now high temperatures are 60º (July is usually 80s by now). And rain has not stopped.

Anyone born in the past 10 months doesn't know what sun is.

Send money. That would help.

Hi Jane. Happy July 1st.

It is really tough watching what is happening to our country.

I try to stay positive and am praying that the Tea Parties will get the attention of Congress and the main stream media. We know that Zero will thumb his nose at us. We have to get the message to Congress!

I’ll get off my soapbox now. Sorry for the rant. :)

Have a beautiful day.

WOW ... this looks like ole home week!
So good to see you, Dutchess.
Yesterday Wolfie made an appearance on the June thread.
StephenJohnBanker made an awesome comeback from cancer.

The news is keeping us all depressed.
I'm hoping that The TeaParties will get Congress' attention.
Will you be able to make the Tea Party and the Freeper Banquet in DC?
It would be great to see you again.

Good news about Giz.
Thank God for hearing the prayers for our furry kids.
I LOL at Susie. She sounds perfect!

Hope you come see us again soon.
We miss you.

Have a Lovely Day.

Your son’s father is still in my prayers. Is there any news?

My son gave me the news, my daughter called later. Both are quite concerned, as they should be.

He is still in ICU, and the cardiologist/surgeon will be doing a proceedure today, to see what damage has been done, and decide where to go from there. (It appears this is not the first heart-attack he has had.)

Thank you so much for the prayers. I will keep you updated.
