But I thought Joshua's Triumph was heard throughout the land?

"I believe I also read that he refuses to do nude or overtly sexual scenes because he feels it's disrespectful to his wife. "

I have read that as well. But, so does Denzel Washington (think about it, have you ever seen Denzel even "kiss" a woman on screen? Not very often.), and it doesn't seem to have hurt his career at all.

It really irritates me that an an actor with the body of work that Caviezel posses, can't get any of the bigger, more coveted roles in Hollywood. There is a Hollywood "blacklist" for conservative minded actors and this is just added proof.

If it was an old 750 Tiger or Bonneville with straight pipes it could DEFINITELY be heard throughout the land.

He doesn’t pay rent. He starred in the highest grossing film of all time. He owns.

Maybe he just doesn’t want to work then?

Four independent films and a television series in the last year doesn’t exactly sound like a man who’d rather sit on his couch all day and watch game shows.

Maybe he just doesn’t want to work in Hollywood? Or he’s particular about the scripts he’s given.

Or maybe he’s being passed over for studio films because he’s an outspoken Christian and a conservative.

He was also incredible in the best movie of the 1990’s, “The Thin Red Line”.

Apparently you slept through the 90s.

“Frequency” is a favorite of mine. My late father was a fireman and the 69 Mets were great guys.

Yeah, I know... some people hate it. I think it’s the best war film ever made.

Frequency is awesome! One of my family’s favorite and a real mind twister. I highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

But, Denzel has only said he won’t do nude/sex scenes if they don’t fit the movie while Caviezel specifically said he won’t do them at all because he’s married and won’t disrespect his wife. If he’s that conservatively-minded, there are probably many ways he refuses to play the Hollywood game.

Couple that with his pro-life stance and you probably have your answer.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m on your side. He’s one of my favorite actors and one I can actually respect. I’m glad he can go to sleep at night with the comfort of sticking to his convictions.

Someone with some money needs to fund a studio that would employ these talented, blacklisted, conservative actors and make movies people would actually go see.
