Today, I notice that the number of thread views is not displaying. The number of replies is. I like to see the number of views because it indicates what subjects are of most interest to FReepers at any time.
For example, Palin posts get many views and gets them quick.
My posts about Honduras, not so much.
Did the recent outages cause the elimination of the "views" data?

I wouldn’t place too much weight on the “views” number. It’s ok as a snapshot, but on any thread where I’m debating, I’m usually good for 30-40 views myself.
Actually, it is open. But not until Noon. :O)

My guess is we got some work being done in the background on the databases and servers and stuff.. kind of like a mid-flight course correction thingy.. or the big servers run faster when they don’t have to calculate and display view stats,, I haven’t looked at hits lately but FR must be getting clobbered of late being as it’s infamous yaknow.. ;-)

I viewed it...that’s one.
It’s the first thing I noticed when I logged on. So I did a page search for the word “views” and this thread showed up. I’m thinking of just staying here until the glitch is worked out. It’s not safe out there.
That's another thing - I find the search function spotty. I mainly use it to search titles before posting. Sometime she works. Sometimes not.
Gotta go with Flash. WE'll miss most of the thread today. Will try to at least drive by.
Getting frunky again. Threads not automatically opening.
Oh well. I’ll be offline later this afternoon. Maybe that solves the problem.
I rarely use the FR search feature, because it sucks. The “page search” that I did is a feature of my browser. I just searched for certain text (”views”) on the page that I had open in my browser.
