Team Betamax has a nice ring.
I like Radio Shack, though. If you're a technomoron like me & you go in & tell the guys there you need the teeny cord with the square thingy to stick in the round whatsit - they always seem to know what I'm talking about. Don't even think about trying that at Best Buy, though. They'll try to sell you a new transmission instead!

I was so bummed when they didn’t pick Chris Horner for the TDF.
I hope he goes to RS.

Yah, heard about it. I’m this close to giving up on both of them. f’in children.
This is the first TdF where I’ve felt let-down.

I was mad at Landis but it felt more par-for-the-course. This time they were finally (apparently) clean so I went through the whole thing lightheartedly.. and then at the end it all turned sour.

I wasn’t trying to bash Radio Shack. Just that the name of the store is archaic.
RS is now the only store in most small and mid-sized cities where you have a better than average *chance* to find someone who has more knowledge of basic electronics than the majority of sales staff at Best Buy and their counterparts.

The TdF hasn’t been around that long. ;)
Hadn’t thought of Lafayette Electronics in a long time.
Built a lot of Heathkits, tho!

Just that the name of the store is archaic. 'Mommy, what's a radio?' ;)

Ha! Looks like the discussion Sparko started about the obsolete name is now obsolete itself.
So next year when the leader of Team Shack bolts from the peleton, Paul & Phil will get to yell "Shack Attack!", I presume?
This could pose a problem for Nike's co-sponsorship, though. Reebok already has a shoe model called "Shaq Attack" after their spokesman.

I found an old file, I don't it is Photoshopped.
Apparently it is a behind the scenes look at the Hits and Misses of TdF Team Naming History for 2009.

Something tells me Team Diazepam wouldn’t be aggressive enough to win many stages.

I'm sure it was my
'Mommy, what's a radio?' post that tipped the scales. ;)
Besides, I "know some people", if you know what I mean.

Team coming together ever so slowly.
Sergio Paulinho joins Team Radio Shack (please don't be Team The Shack).
Jose Azevedo will be sports director.
Article makes it sound like Paulinho is abandoning Contador. Or maybe Armstrong is doing everything possible to make it as difficult as possible for Contador.

How come Johann will be manager instead of directeur sportif?

How come Johann will be manager instead of directeur sportif? A well-deserved promotion.
