BREAKING: FOX Cancels Its Popular HOUSE Show

August, 2009

FOX has annouced that its popular show HOUSE will be canceled and will not have its 2009 season televised as planned.

Due to Obamacare restrictions, delays, rationing and age-to-benefit studies, the show simply can't be done. Writers & producers have concluded that each episode would take 10-20 times longer while necessary medical tests, needed to move the plot/story line, have now become unavailable.

Episodes dealing with elderly patients were scrapped as their stories constantly ended with either pain pill overdoses or euthanasia. Episodes involving unborn children with defects/complications were constantly ending with an abortions. There were also too many scenes where patient-actors had to wait in long lines or were told to come back in a few months for follow up treament (which only exasperated studio production costs).

Leading actor, Hugh Laurie, was most upset that his show was becoming a UK production with all of the bureaucratic pitfalls.

FOX producers tried to save the show with an all new cast of cheap foreign doctors and nurses (H1B visas), but red tape snags and producer squabbles crushed the idea.

As one producer stated, "What the heck were we goning to do every week? Have death counseling sessions, arguments with government officials, and dispensing pain pills? HELLO, can you say boring!!! We're suppose to be fiction, not a reality show!!!"

To date, FOX officials haven't confirmed internet rumors on a possible replacement show dealing with Hugh Laurie's character opening a private clinic in Mexico.

OK, you’ve got me. I’ve seen RA Live, don’t own it. Seen some Mr. Bean, not all. What I’d really like to get my hands on is Jeeves and Wooster series.

Jeeves and Wooster: The Complete Series

This is my favorite Fry-and-Laurie work. I already have it, of course. </smug harpie>

We will have to remain distant cousins.

Reread my comment. My FIRST and biggest complaint is that the WRITING has gone down hill since the new team of regulars. The CONTENT has diminished and the topics have strayed into perversion. I believe that the FACES (the play-actors) of the show have an impact on the topics and that these blatantly "pro-odumbo" views have emerged on the show and THAT affects the final product, what we see. The very SAME thing has happened with "24" and is a reason why its' ratings have dropped, IE: Ms. Grafalo, the new female President. I do not mind watching a show with a "liberal actors", I just prefer that they keep their views OUT of what is supposedly entertainment, so that I as a consumer can see beyond the person playing a character and see JUST the character they are portraying.

You ARE right about not consuming too much TV. I am parsimonious about my TV viewing time. I find that it is better for the mind and soul.
