BORAS, Sweden, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- A man who fell asleep along a railroad track in Sweden probably awoke with a bad headache, which wasn't bad considering police say he was hit by a train.
The unidentified man had apparently been drinking before he fell asleep on the tracks outside of Boras. He woke up just long enough to move his head out of the way.
"He had woken up when the train came, raised his head and hit it on a metal object on the train," Sven Persson of the Vastra Gotaland police said, "Then he went back to sleep."

“Sleeping Swede ducks passing train”
OK, let me tell you what I expected... “A row of sleeping ducks outrunning a swedish train.”
I like that story line better
Why do drunks always go to sleep on train tracks? I don’t get it.
Because all the park benches were taken...?
Just keeping with the FReeper tradition of posting pictures of the subject matter that have no real relevance to the subject matter.
Yeah - THAT’S IT!!
Thanks!
Is that the Aflac duck?
LOL! It’s just what I pictured when I read the title too.
I know...me too. I had to click on the link to see just what the story was about.

Damn!
I guess drunken stupidity knows no cultural or national boundaries.
Maybe the sleeping Swede was listeing to this before he passed out.
Maybe the sleeping Swede was listening to this before he passed out.
That's because you're not a reporter phoning it in. (or in Sweden finishing off last seasons Glögg --)
Apparently in stereo! ;-)
