Exploiting the old-fashioned but still effective theory that he who gets in the first blow usually wins at least half the battle, the gay Dodgers knocked down and walked over the Giants for six runs in the first inning at Ebbets Field yesterday.
They sound a little S&Mish, too.

Hamlin actually won 20 games that year. even though his strikeout ratio was less than 3 per 9 innings..
