See article for story...Forbes did a story yesterday regarding this story and here is a quote: "Just in time for back to school, mall mainstay J.C. Penney got interesting.
Thanks to a nasty New York Times review of its new store across from competitor Macy's ( M - news - people ) in New York's Herald Square, fans from Savanna to San Francisco as well as bloggers and journalists kept J.C. Penney ( JCP - news - people ) in print for a week solid. They're irate with writer Cintra Wilson and her comments regarding the "obese mannequins" and "Middle American entity waddl[ing] into Midtown."

Meh—I used to like JC Penney, but even they’ve gotten expensive. Gimme Kohl’s any day.
Vomit! Ooops, that’s probably how the author fits into a size 2. The whole article is surreal, definately a whopped sense of reality occurring therein.
Indicative of a generation of young people that think “bitch” is an endearing word...
Every time I think the First Woman can’t embarrass this country further, she succeeds in doing so anyway.
I like JCPenney. You can still buy a reasonable pair of shoes there. Wal-Mart only has junk shoes, and Nordstrom wants $200.
By the way, I ran across this person’s blog and she made three (yep, 3) attempts at an apology the day after the article. The comments to her apology cuts her NO slack. I suspect she realizes she stepped into a hornets nest. However, this fits into the desperation mode the MSM seems to be in. Since they have slanted the news so long, they have been discovered and now have to resort to sensationalized articles to bring the attention. This is a small example of how the media plans to destroy America—destroy our heritage and traditional institutions and job-done.
By the way, she is still flaming from the story...Looks like it got so bad for her that she has stopped taking comments on her blog: http://www.cintrawilson.com/
I like JC Penney, too. It has nice business shirts for my husband.
Also, I don’t get it when the author says that Penneys is carrying big sizes and Macys isn’t.
At our Macy’s the Macy’s Woman department is quite extensive.
I think fashionistas like this woman can really suck the fun out of shopping for me. I’ve got a neglected body and a limited budget. I don’t need another reminder that I am not “cool”. I hope all the Penneys shoppers enjoy their visit despite this woman.
Perfect reply!
