(snip) "Referring to the belief that God decides during the Jewish New Year “who shall live and who shall die,” Obama told the rebs, “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

In response to this statement I would like to make a subtle theological point: No, we’re not." (snip)

“We are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

this is the first I've heard of this remark. It's right up there with "being punished with a baby."

This guy is just plain scary.

Maybe Obama’s vision is that God creates ‘em and we off ‘em.

That’s weird—I thought he considered himself God. How can you be your own partner?

"this is the first I've heard of this remark."

I hadn't heard it either.

"...partners???" Excuse me? A "partner" is an equal. Scary is right.

Obama told the rebs, “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

Not with me you’re not.

Obama can’t lead a People that refuse to follow him. I will not, under any circumstances, be forced to follow a two faced lying lib, white hating socialist such this bastard.

there's a lively discussion on the source site about this.

it seems to be a quote or a misquote from a traditional Jewish prayer.

It would be nice to see this remark in context before unleash the full wrath of my deadly keyboard on the subject.

I don't think it was very subtle. Any Christian would
take this as a sure sign that Obama doesn't understand
Christianity.

Right. Well, since he was speaking to Jews and quoting a Jewish prayer, I thought it might make sense to get it in context.

I understand. It’s that I’m shell shocked at the stuff that comes out his mouth.

Apparently, Obama is a duality, not a trinity...

I followed the link on Klavin’s page to Politico and from there the link to the rabi’s blog. Here is the message posted there now:

“My lack of tech literacy results in a huge mistake — apologies to all for my tweets this afternoon. They have been deleted.”
Odd, no?

Trying to track down the original source of Obama’s quote via web searches, I came across a post by a commenter who said “The thing that God and Obama have in common is that neither one of them have a birth certificate”
I thought it was cute.

Obama told the rebs, “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

I find that hard to believe.

Odd, no?

no, oddacious.

That remark is just plain freaky. It's one of those lines that you read about in history books and ask yourself, "how could people not know what he was up to?"

These people have to be stopped.

I find that hard to believe.

I don't guess we'll ever know for sure anymore, as the records have been deleted.

Jeebus, do you mean that conservatives and libertarians can read Twitter? Why don't people explain these things to me! I'll delete those tweets immediately!
