How far has our nation fallen? Read this for some insight
God is the bad guy in a movie coming out this January! The title of the movie is Legion and here is their official synopsis: When God loses faith in mankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the apocalypse. Humanitys only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the archangel Michael. The archangel Michael voluntarily falls to Earth to save the savior of mankind who hasnt been born yet. (The saviors mom is a diner waitress.) Did you get the message? Mans only hope is to fight against God, the God who sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for our sins. This movie was produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America (SCA), a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Corporation.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
That's original...is her name Sarah Conner?
Another Hollyweird piece of crap to miss.
One more reason not to send my hard-earned cash to Hollywood.
Where is our CS Lewis or GK Chesterton who would skewer and ridicule this absurdity?
"I've got the horse right here, the name is Paul Revere...
...and here's a guy that says that the weather's clear!
Can do, can do! This guy says the horse can do...
If he says the horse can do, can do, can do!
Sing!"
Outside of a Sandra Bullock Movie my wife wanted to see this past spring, I have not been to a movie with Hollywood Idiots in it since, The Dark Knight.
Before that I saw An American Carol, a cute movie without Hollywood Idiots.
I watch TCM, AMC for my movies.
Haven’t read up on The Flood lately huh? The idea of God getting sick of our crap and deciding to wipe us out isn’t without Biblical precedent. Though this movie does look kind of weak.
Let me get this straight.
God sends His Son, who dies on a cross to save us from our own sin. Jesus comes back from the dead, as He said He would, and essentially goes home, promising He’ll be back.
In the meantime, between cosmic crossword puzzles, God gets mad, throws out the Bible and says, “That’s IT! I’ve had it! Contract cancelled (Sorry Son about you becoming human and hanging from that cross - my bad).
He sends down the angels to wipe everybody out, but Michael’s got a soft spot for the folks that originally hung his boss from a cross.
He voluntarily falls to earth to save the parents of the Second Messiah, who doesn’t come back down in the Glorious Appearing, but does the whole human birth thing all over again.
Yup, this makes a ton of sense.
Played by
1. George CLOONEY
2. Sean Penn
3. Michael Moore
4. Rosie O'Donnell
5. All of the above losers
I just went to the IMDb boards about this movie and found this line from a poster.
“Who knew, that all it takes to kill an angel is a semi-automatic?”
This is another Lame-o attempt at a new idea.
Dogma has been done.
Terminator has been done.
It’s trash. Ignore it.
Nobody that expensive. Paul Bettany, you might remember him as the guy who keeps getting naked in A Knight’s Tale. Pretty good actor actually, weird taste in movie rolls though.
Just another reason not to waste one’s hard-earned money on Hollywood trash
It’s a movie, not scripture. Don’t like the subject matter then don’t go to see it.
Must be because of that "anthropogenic global warming" and "war for oil" stuff, eh?
G*D said that he would not ever again destroy the ENTIRE world w/ a GLOBAL Flood BUT he said NOTHING about FIRE!
God is the bad guy in roughly a third of movies I’ve seen recently (with the rest about evenly divided between “big business”, the US Military, and George W. Bush)
That being said, this is a free country, and people can make any damned crappy movie they please. We're Christians, not Muslims, and if Hollywood wants to disrespect God and His messengers in a film, they have that right -- just as I have the right to avoid rewarding Hollywood with my ticket dollars.
The best response is to ignore this film and give it the box-office death it likely deserves.
