Being a drummer ( as well as Kinks fan ) myself I had heard of him . DOWNTOWN and I ONLY WANNA BE WITH YOU two of the best female sung hits of the mid 60’s . Had no idea he’d played on those tunes . R.I.P. Bobby .

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Mick Avory was the drummer for the Kinks. I doubt this guy played on "You Really Got Me", but maybe they used his as a studio drummer.
