What a crock of BS! I love Costco and Sam’s. I save money and time. Costco carries some very high quality food at prices that beat the heck out of local grocery stores. Heck, one bottle of Kirkland generic Benadryl pays for our annual membership. Costo meat is far superior and fresher in Colorado than meat at King Soopers, Safeway, and Albertsons. I’ve never had a problem with refunds. Or waited in line to checkout more than a couple of minutes.

According to this article, the 100,000,000 Americans that shop at these stores are stupid fools that are being ripped off. Most likely the hack who wrote this hatchet piece did so because the unionized grocery chains are being run out of business by the (non-unionized) warehouse stores.

Here’s a summary of the book :

Big corporations = evil
__________

You are right on the money. Costco is a clean, bright warehouse store that sells quality food and dry goods. I work inside Costco as a food demonstrator. Their employees are well paid and happy. The members are happy because they are getting good prices. The seafood is nothing short of superb in quality. The Kirkland brand (Costco’s store brand) is always high quality. Anything you bring back is gladly refunded. We have saved so much money on groceries since we started shopping there. And of course there is our VIZIO 32 inch HD tv that we got for 399.00.

We love Costco!

I shop Costco but the 10 things are sort of true......

they only have the items THEY want to sell...if there is an item you fall in love with, don't count on them ever having it again...

there is no savings if you buy a large supply of something because its cheaper by the ton only to have 3/4 of it spoil....(been there, done that)

and they do push the candy and the sweets now don't they...

I will say that once I brougth a stereo system back to them...it had been opened....they took it back readily but I had the WRONG receipt!!!...they didn't care....they gave me my money back....
